Yea when I got my hands on the mod some guns lacked hand sprites in the process to fix this, not good with sprite work but I sure am gonna try and fix it!

Yep FEET ON THE GROUND is still work in progress mod. Though I completely re did all the gun audio and updated them with muzzle flashes, recoil and bullet casing.

@@Shrikster By far the stars of the show are the lighting and the sounds/atmosphere. For consistency, if the other weapons such as the shotgun are going to show your hands holding them, you should do the same for the pistol as well. I found it somewhat jarring that the pistol is basically just floating in midair.

Yea or just a civil I really like doom but in a survival horror I believe doom can be both power fantasy and horror it's got all the elements to fit both though the original design of doom was always horror based.

Dang those floors and walls look so nice and shiny!

Yea I wondered if it's too much ? The textures are still pixelated just has more special and bump mapping on them to make them stand out and using relighting mod.

Thanks yea the mod works with various monster packs and while I enjoy BD I still prefer my doom as more survival horror. The mod sports 5 characters each with their own guns and quirks.

Next vid coming soon.

I love how it looks now! Totally another experience it is. I would love to try it.

I'll show more soon there are 5 classes each with their own guns and stats, kinda plays like a more action focused Hideous destructor.

The sound really puts you right in there.

Glad you like it the audio took a long time to produce especially the weapon stuff, mod has a few bugs because tbe author is still working on it but they minor.

Yea the series I wanna do is like "Hell has taken over the world and you are no super soldier but just a survivor banded with few others scavaging supplies from now long decaying places.

Thanks there are no high res textures it's just enhanced lighting and specular effects but if you look at the textures they still pixelated to stick with the doom art style.

the gun pickups should be the actual guns with a glow around them

Looking good so far. Some background noise to improve ambience might be good. The low hum of a generator, the buzz of a malfunctioning light as you move past. Distant, unidentifiable noises that come from somewhere up ahead. It would add to the immersion. Keep ammunition and health low. Hope you keep at it. Is a good start.

This is a good idea, the sound's good (I believe you when you say you're a sound designer, that's one of the best parts of this), the visuals in general set the right atmosphere, the HUD is almost exactly what I would want to see out of an idea like this. But one thing that bugs the absolute shit out of me is the weapon viewmodel sprite for the pistol. I can only imagine how much better this would look if the weapon had hands holding it, heavily bobbed around with movement, and only raised onto the camera view all the way when the player is ready to fire. Even if it was something as simple as having to hold a button resident evil style to raise the viewmodel sprite on screen to aim it would make a big difference even without hands.

Yea I understand the pistol thing, you see this mod is not my own it belongs to another and was a WIP when I got my hands on it, so not all the weapons were finished or had sprites, as someone who is only sounds I am attempting to fix this by giving pistols and any other gun missing sprites hands, IT's all new to me so I am hoping I can do it. I thought as a temperory fix is just lowering the pistol view sight so it appears lower down, however It is on my todo list. Thinking of ditching the classes and just going with "Lone survivor." Focusing more on gun choice that matter as it stands each class more or less is identical with the same trope of guns just different to fit their nation.

I love this, looks incredible. What mods did you use for the lighting and texturing and such? I’d love to use them myself!

The mod is not brutal doom, it's called Feet on the ground, I'm not tbe creator of the mod I just built upon it with my own tweaks, changes additions and new audio for guns, items and environment so sadly these won't work with BD unless you use the separate monsters pack, the mod can be used with any monster pack.

Looks cool, but is it possible to be too dark? How are you able to see enemies, even if barely and distinctly, in pitch black? The beginning of the second level was like watching you shoot shadows lol.

did you make a custom vhs filter or is that a download? if so, where can i get it?

4:45 When he loads the empty shotgun, a shell pops out. That's a problem that should be fixed.

Project malice monsters Doom specular mapping Doom bump mapping Cosmic horror ambient sounds. Weapons are my own version of the mod called Feet on the ground. The rest is all personal customized stuff
