Hi Chris - what happens if you need to change the tyre, does that mean you need to remove the rim case first?

Hi Chris I co-sign everything you shared here about the Magbak RimCase in your video. I believe they are worth every penny of the $300 asking price. I installed them on my MYLR induction wheels after curbing two wheels avoiding a collision with a bus on a narrow road a month into ownership. I can’t tell they are installed but rest assured knowing they are there to protect my wheels next time a curb gets too close too😂. Thanks for sharing.

Please note these only work with OE tire sizes 255/35 & 275/35 in case of 21" Überturbines . They didn't work with different ratio tires like 275/35 in front and 295/35 in the rear, simply because not enough room at the rim edge to grab. Otherwise they're pretty good.

if you have 275 front and 295 back the tires are already protecting the rims to some extent, so the rim case is not actually needed if you are careful enough.

@@libsstry8551 I do and you're 100% right, this setup protects rim way better than OE tires. I decided to keep Makbak because I got pretty good deal and in case I will decide to go back to 255/275. ✌🏼

There's a couple wheel repair outfits you can find on yelp. I've used a couple and let me tell you, don't curb your wheels haha. Actually, they're pretty good. They have access to the OEM paint so after the repair on my '22 MX, it looks back to normal.

Hey Chris. That is very cool. However, I have a concern about this when we need to do tire change? Do we have to take off the magbak rim protection prior to do tire change?

Hi Chris. I enjoyed watching your wife's video. She is adorable. I plan to buy Model Y in December or January 2024. Would you recommend any company that makes shiny chrome appearance wheel covers for Model Y that you trust quality🤔? Polished, shiny chrome wheels or covers were popular in the 80's. I don't see that anymore. Thank you🥰.

Get new tires! But same sizes and you can just take off the old ones and put it back. You can buy double sided tape anywhere

Black sharpie is much easier and cheaper

275/35 in front and 295/35 in the rear is a much better option than applying Chinese plastic to your nice rims.

Tesla wheels are too wide for the tires. They have that stretched tire look where the rim sticks out.

The SC told me that any after market rims that aren’t “TESLA’ rims may void any warranty claim going forward. Anyone ever hear that?

Depends if it’s related to your issue. My aftermarket rims have no issues with all the stuff fixed including the high voltage battery

Happens the best of us... I just literally fucked up my rear right wheel. I was parked reverse and came out quick and the curb was low and I thought I pulled out enough (was changing song on phone) and I hadn't pulled out far enough and yeah...now I must fix it... 1st time will definitely be the last. Anyone know how much it is to fix? Never done it before 😅

These look terrible. And they're so incredibly overpriced. You can just get the damage repaired for much cheaper.
