Donovan was obviously messing about when he said he did not know the song, the record was a big hit for cliff Richard and most of the country would have been singing it

Great harmonica by Sebastian, who played harp on the Doors albums.

Loved hearing this. Didn't know the song. Each of their contributions to the performance were outstanding and complimented each other. Especially loved seeing David Bromberg, don't see/hear about him a lot. His slide guitar was perfect.

He could have had the grace to say the hit was sung by Cliff Richard or took the time to find out. Poor show.

Lighten up. Cliff Richard didn't write the song, Do you really expect an artist to name everyone who performed a particular song?

I'm 77. I was never very impressed by Donovan. Turns out I'm still not. John Sebastian however, and Lovin' Spoonful? Sebastian had a voice which absolutely suited their songs, different class altogether.
