I adopted a dog from a local shelter and he had severe anxiety so I called the shelter and they said well he came here with his mom and they have always been together. Well they never told me that so I did the right thing and went back to the shelter and adopted his mama. I never saw such a happy dog in my life when I brought his mom home. I promised I would never part them ever again. I had both dogs for over 10 years. Both were adults when I had adopted them. When they each passed away from old age I buried them side by side under the tree in my yard. I kept my promise that they would have a forever home together and never be separated.

I got emotional when I read this. I sometimes visit my 11 departed pets buried in my back yard, each has a plant I tend to. I look at each grave and think of them, I like to think they are still out there somehow and I touch their spirit when I do that.

That cry when Mary saw her son Colonel. Cut right through to me at the deepest level. Well done to you all. I had just watched the tragic Robert Bresson film , a drama about a cruelly treated donkey from 1966. It was so sad. EOa a Polish film about a donkey (less sad I hope) is coming out in February 2023. Bless your Sanctuary and all the beautiful animals.

Greatest thing I have seen this year, every day I throw apples or carrots to the neighbors rescue horses and I feel so good.

I do the same thing lol ❤ I was sneaking apples to horses at an equine centre my daughter worked at, I was caught red handed one day and a little known fact was told to me...apples can be a choke hazard and better to cut them up, also that fruit in general is quite high in sugar. I felt kinda bad oops and switched to only carrots lol

What Mom just looks so depressed and resigned to following you because really what choice did she have? Then when she saw her baby boy I'm not ashamed to say I cried...hard. anyone who thinks that animals do not feel emotion need to see this video. You have made a world of difference in both of those animals lives and on their behalf I thank you for that

You think this story about her is great, look up "Libre Speranza". One little dog, with her help, was the face of some big law "Libre's Law" passing in Pennsylvania. I spent a bunch of time with Libre, as his attendant, at a banquet held by Humane Action Pittsburgh (a loving group to which I belong). He is a sweetheart and his story is AMAZING. Thanks too Speranza Rescue. Look him up.

It was so cute at 1:40 how she stopped when she saw her baby & started calling to him.

Ok, i broke with mom donkey crying out, but had to laugh again at "Clarabelle and Fernando", such brilliant names for Alpacas lol

A real tear jerker for sure. You are a wonderful and loving person to re-unite this Donkey Mom with her child. Absolutely brilliant. Most people don't understand that animals have souls and can feel love, grief, anger, and all the emotions we experience.

All dairy cows experience the agony of their baby taken away from them immediately after birth, and not just once but several times. Until they can't take it anymore, and are killed. Just so humans could drink their milk instead.

@@mizofan We have a farmer here with an auto milk installation. The cow moves in and out to give milk as she likes. The bigger part of the milk is for the calf. Still enough remaing for the farmer to sell milk and produce cheese. All they tell us about milk production on big farms and killing young males is bullshit as usual !

@@dragonfairy22 By the 2nd day after birth, calves are separated from their mothers so that the dairy industry can profit off of the milk that was meant for the baby. Also, the male calves are killed because they can't produce milk. Sometimes the calf is sold for beef or veal, but it's usually cheaper to kill them than raise them. So sad.

Donkey's have the most beautiful eyes lashes of all. Love Donkeys!

The cry the mother let out was pain and joy in equal parts. How lovely that you gave them the gift of having a son and a mother.

This was very heartwarming. Can't imagine the 2 of them being separated. They both were sad. 7 days can be like forever. So happy they are together again. It was very touching to see them calling to each other. Colonel sure was happy to see his mom. Glad no one picked up the mom. They should've been together all along.

Same thing happens every single day so selfish people can eat meat and dairy, in order for cows to produce milk the artificially impregnate them to have baby’s , only to steal the baby’s away from them just after birth . Please do not eat meat and dairy , there are many delicious alternatives now ✌🏻

Animals can be so healing and I, at times , wonder how I’d have got through some of my worse days without them?! 🙏🏼💕

Yes and the cats tail is straight up which indicates play, whenever a cats tail is down or bushy it means business but when it's straight up it's being friendly

@@patshhi4620 there are some ways you can tell with a dog! If a dog barks or growls followed by a fake sneeze, it's playing. Although if you aren't familiar with a dog and it growls best just leave it alone, even if it is playing it's better not to take the risk. Also if a dogs ears are up and forward then it's happy to see you. If it leans down on it's front paws, like it's bowing, that also an invitation to play.

Now I know why our old time gold prospectors and mountain men had mules and donkeys… PERSONALITY. What a kick in the pants these guys are, and great companions!

I’m always amazed how universally mean mules are when donkeys and horses are often so so sweet. Makes you wonder how they’re all part of the same big equine family. I feel similarly about my cousins from Boston.

Love all the donkey videos that show their heartwarming reactions to either someone they haven't seen in a while, or another friend they've become attached to. They're obviously quite emotional critters, that have more personality and character, than some people do.
