This kid lost his parents instantly and still had to recover from a brain injury without them. My mother had a stroke that paralyzed the entire right side of her body. The mental therapy, the physical therapy, the waiting. None of it was easy, he's a very strong young man indeed

Oh this is one of the best comments for a very long time. I am gonna "borrow" this one. So good.

This literally brought me to tears after seeing this whole video. I'm VERY proud of Ian. I know that he was scared of going back into the ocean to surf, but then Ricochet came into his life and brought back his courage to surf with her.

So nice to see Ricochet and Ian reunited.

Seems silly but maybe Ian's dad came down to Ricochet in the only way he could to help Ian. Definitely heaven sent.

kudos to the aunt for taking care of the family. it is never easy. hope they are all doing well.

Both of them are so sweet! Animals help so much! A horse encouraged me to get rid of my cane and walk independently by walking her without my cane and hanging onto her. Now I walk all by myself and it’s quite exciting. Hopefully Ian will get there one day! Dogs are truly amazing.

Killer Dragon I got mad every time Ian’s family was on camera because I care about Ian,ricochet and ricochets guardian but I totally agree Ian and ricochet are the best!

Dog is like: "Huh, funny. You smell a bit like one of my old jobs." :-D

This was an amazing video to watch and brought me to tears again. I had previously read the book about Ricochet, and seeing this after having read the book, brought up my own experiences with dogs. I believe wholeheartedly that we are truly blessed to have dogs in our life
