    @@kennedy9359 I have done some research on the different types of Magnesium and here is what I found Oxide - doesn’t have a very good absorption so if using it needs to be taken all throughout the day. Citrate - is not recommended as it interferes with Ceruloplasmin which regulates the balance between Iron and copper. It can cause Iron deregulation and health issues. Glycinate - is great as it is very calming and should be taken before bed. It absorbs well through the intestine so has no laxative effect. Malate - is very energizing so good for when exercising and absorbs well. Sulfate - which is basically epsom salts and is best to use in the bath. Orotate/Taurate - fabulous as it absorbs straight into the cells for overall health, energy and is also very good for cardiovascular health. Threonate - fabulous as it helps with mental health, brain injuries, PTSD, anxiety and depression also with short and long term memory. Chloride - good for detoxing, metabolic function and kidney function. It only has a 12% absorption rate however it is very potent so has a nice general flow.

    I had a phone call today from my doctor to find out what I have done differently for my cholesterol. In less than a month on dihydroberberine my levels are now normal. They have been high for years. I take a small dose and it hasn't even been a full month yet. She no longer wants to put me on a statin and said to keep on doing what I am doing. I am a believer.

    That's interesting because the same thing happened to me. Extremely high cholesterol that is now normal within a short period of time, maybe one month, on berberine. I had also recently began HRT, so I don't know if that or the combination of the two was what brought my numbers to normal levels. Menopause can cause cholesterol to skyrocket due to estrogen loss. Regardless, I will continue to do both. As far as weight loss, there hasn't been any because my eating is horrible, lol. With that being said, it definitely was NOT my diet that was effecting my cholesterol levels.

The Super Berberine is not the only thing I do to accomplish improvements in health and blood glucose levels. I just finished an extensive panel of blood work and my doctor now asserts that I am no longer "prediabetic". I will continue to take the Super Berberine and work on my weight. Have been taking berberine for 18 months 500mg x 3/day. Part of a supplement regimin that includes coq10 and acv. Never hit my weight goal, but went from 330 to 190. After two consecutive "good" blood tests and holding at new weight, my doctor stopped the cholesterol, glucose, and one of two bp meds I was on. I still struggle with weight training, but walking and climbing stairs got a lot easier.

    I use Berberine HCL among other herbs. I've lost nearly 50 lbs though I've also adjusted my eating, do exercise. I'm 67 and take other medications for high blood pressure. I was prescribed a statin which I no longer take. I'm having blood work done soon, so I'll know whether my regime is working in reducing cholesterol. I'm within healthy ranges now via the last results about 7 months ago. My A1C went from 6.9 to 5.6. Berberine HCL is easier on the digestive system and easier to absorb due to the hydrochloride salt, which makes it more absorbable. I'll check out the Dihydroberberine though. Thank you! I currently take 500 mg of Berberine HCL twice per day. One at mid day with a meal and one at night with Magnesium Taurate, Krill Oil and occasionally 5mg of Melatonin. I also use cinnamon, drink green tea and Yerba Mate tea, I use lots of Turmeric and other herbs. I read that Dihydroberberine is a downstream metabolite of berberine so it has the same cellular effects as berberine hcl. As a plant alkaloid, it impacts several signaling pathways including AMP-activated protein kinase and nuclear factor KB (3) (there are many others but these are the most prominent).

I looking into the orthotics, braces and shoes but I didn’t feel like trail/hiking shoes were showed. I play disc golf and those are kind of the go to for me. It would be nice to see more shoes in that category if you have any good recommendations.

    Something not in the video is the mechanism of action. Berberine works similar to metformin. It blocks the first receptor of the oxidation respiration chain in the mitochondria. This stymies its ability to produce energy. The mitochondria creates more mitochondria to alleviate the issue. The reason this is important is the most common side effect it initial lack of energy or temporary weakness. THIS IS NORMAL FUNCTION and will get better.

    Be careful with the EKG technician as well. I went to a walk-in urgent care because I was feeling anxious, without any chest pain or other heart issue symptoms. The doctor performed an EKG, and the electrodes they used on me fell off a couple of times. The urgent care doctor then called an ambulance and sent me to the hospital because the EKG indicated a heart attack. However, even the paramedics weren't convinced, and the hospital doctors determined that I was fine and hadn't experienced any heart attack at all. When I showed my primary doctor the EKG results from the urgent care facility, another EKG was conducted. He compared and explained that the urgent care EKG showed misplaced electrodes. Now, I'm waiting for what will likely be a huge bill due to the negligence of a mediocre technician and doctor who couldn't make a proper assessment. I would take anything big pharma and some doctors say with a large grain of salt.

    Thanks for the information. I’ve been taking regular Berberine for over a year. 500 mg a.m. and p.m. after the paper came out that it reduced carotid artery plaque. Fortunately, I have none there but do in both legs and one arm as well as bipassed arteries after stents 8 years ago. I am stable. I’ve lost 20 lbs. My a1c was reduced from the 6’s to the 5’s, my blood pressure went to normal even though I had been (and am) still taking 2 blood pessure meds. Hunger is limited as before I was always hungry, even on high protein, medium fat, low carb diet. I had gone vegan for a year before then and got fatter and sicker. I am able to do time restricted eating (16/8) now since I’m not as hungry and did my first 36 hour water only fast last week. Previously I ate very healthily, exercised and saw my doctor every 6 months. I have taken L-glutamine 2,000 mg for 3 years and that had stopped the intense sugar craving, DL-Phenylalanine and Alpha Lipoic Acid supplements for vitiligo and diabetic nerve pain have been in my diet for 10 years and wow, they have ended the skin sloughing and nerve pain (thanks to my neurologist for telling me to take them). Looking on Amazon, the Dihydroberberine is 4-6 times more expensive per month than the regular I take. Since I am happy where I am I will nit be switching. Others may need the stronger dose.

    So I tried a different brand and it was to take 3X daily with meals with no stomach issues. I added Living well gummies now to never get constipated again. This brand was berberine with milk thistle by EzyAbsorb. I got on amazon but they always run out quick.

    After first it was nausea and diarrhea then it turned the other way. I will try different brands I guess, I've been taking it once a day. Been on it over a month but no weight loss or lowered blood sugars. Maybe it won't work for me like it does for many others.

  • @NikiLivi5
    @NikiLivi5Ай бұрын

    I wish I’d never tried Ozempic! My friends were taking it and they looked amazing with only needing some zofran for the nausea. I waited till it had been out over a year to try it to see if anyone else had any major side effects. It still cost me $225 for my copay so it was expensive! I took it 3 months then got off for 3 months. I still didn’t have an appetite much the 3 months off. I went from 235 to 185 in 3 months. After 3 months off I’d take it a month then off for 2 months. About a year later I’d been off of it for 6 months because I just couldn’t afford it and in that time gained all of my weight back even though I wasn’t eating junk & I was trying to watch what I ate. When I got back on it I made zero changes but for some reason it was making me super sick even with the zofran. I did start to throw up about once a day and it looked white & foamy because I wasn’t eating much at all. By the 3rd week I took that shot and it would be my last. It put me to bed for 6 weeks. To go to the bedroom I’d have to sit down midways and lay my head back to keep from vomiting or passing out. I was beginning to think I was just going to die. I couldn’t eat. I could just barely drink. And if I raised my head up instead of laying down I got nauseas & dizzy. Thank the good Lord after that 6 week mark I started to feel better. It just took a little while to build my strength back up. But once I was able to stand and do a few things I noticed about 2/3 of my long super thick, I had enough hair for at least 3 people a full head of hair, coarse easy to fix hair had fallen out. What didn’t fall out broke off about halfway from my head to the ends. Then it went from straight healthy shiny hair with body to a kinky fuzzy thin mess! I’ve never had curly hair! My hair curls easily with a curling iron or rollers and will hold the curl till I wash it but it’s naturally straight. Honestly, and I mean no disrespect or offense to anyone, it looked like folks with a really dark complexion that have the really kinky hair. I even bough a few products for that type of hair and nothing helped! I put an expensive shampoo & conditioner on it. I used really high end products to smooth it and make it as healthy looking as possible. I’d sleep with it in a reparative oil in it and soak it in it then put in a plastic bonnet to protect my pillow. My hair was blonde but when this happened it stopped coloring it at all. I did have places that were kinky and a little in spots that was straight. There wasn’t any fixing it. I wore my hair in a ponytail and a baseball cap for a year if I went anywhere. I did have to attend my 2nd daughters child #2 and my oldest sons child #3’s graduation from our local community college. My daughter got her nursing degree there. My son got an associates degree but it headed to senior college this August to finish his bachelors in computer business. He took 1 year off to work and save up some money so if he needs to he can stop working while completing his degree. But I looked at the pics from that day and my hair like that made me look at least 20 years older! I hate those pics of myself. My hair looks horrible! Because I have lupus and am disabled I rarely see anyone. I was so afraid of running into some friends and them seeing me. Right before that I had my beautician to put a perm in my hair so it would all match so there wouldn’t be kinky & straight spots. It’s taken a year for it to grow out some places 2 to 3 inches and other places up to 4 inches. My hair has always grown slowly. The area that was kinky and permed has grown out that much and has relaxed. It looks more like natural more relaxed loose ringlets. But now the top close to the roots is straight healthy looking like my hair was. The rest is still curly just more relaxed and healthier looking even though at times I will get some fuzzy spots. I’ve found a product called Color Wow! It covers each hair strand with an invisible waterproofing cloak. It prevents hair from becoming frizzy from humidity. Where I live we have 100 degree temps with 100% humidity at least 4 to 5 months a year but even when the temps are in the 70’s to 90’s our humidity is always extremely high. And you can’t apply too much product. You can soak it in it and it never gets oily or weighed down. I use it along with a little oil on the ends from Olaplex. I also apply a bond smoother by Olaplex that prevents frizz for up to 72 hours, blow dries faster, & gives you frizz free blow drying. I wash with Vegamour then use Pureology hydrate conditioner. The first year I only air dried my hair. But now I just blow dry the roots a little. I haven’t seen the thickness coming back so far. I can’t tell the first 4 inches of my roots that are around my face are still thin. I can’t see my scalp. Used to I never could see my scalp at all. When it fixed it’s not that noticeable but I notice it because I was used to how thick it was. If I’d known what it was going to do to my hair I NEVER would have tried Ozempic. I would have rather been overweight with all of my hair! I’ve always been thin since I was a little kid. But once I hit 40 everything changed! I used to could just count calories and didn’t have to worry about what I was eating as long as I kept my calories in my daily intake range. I tried cutting out sugar, junk food, and fast food while counting calories but that didn’t work either plus I was starving! I grew up on Diet Coke and drank it thru my early 30’s. The bubbly sensation made me feel full. But I started getting kidney stones. And it got to where I was having 1 every 6 months. My doctor asked about my diet then about what I was drinking. He told me the diet cokes had to go and I needed to drink water. It was the hardest thing I’ve done. But I finally found a flavoring that’s not full of chemicals I like & now if I drink a random coke I feel dehydrated. I prefer my flavored water. But I still struggle to get weight off. I’ve been able to maintain at 211 but that’s nowhere near where I want to be. I tried the dihydroberberine with Ceylon cinnamon. I discovered it was effecting my oral birth control pills because I started a very heavy monthly and it didn’t stop till days after I stopped the DB. Unfortunately, I’m one of the few that are super sensitive to a lot of supplements. They mess up my birth control causing spotting to much heavier much more painful monthly’s. I almost scheduled a hysterectomy because I’d had unpredictable spotting from a week to 3 weeks every month when I was taking my pills all month and my doc had allowed me to shut down my monthly’s all together so I wasn’t supposed to have anything. It went on for 9 months. The only thing I’d changed was I was drinking a shakeology every morning. My doc looked at the ingredients and concluded there wasn’t anything in them that would affect my pills so it must be my body. I got to reading the ingredients and looking them up. I found they have lactobacillus acidophilus in them. I found 1 article online that said it can affect oral birth control so I called my doc. The nurse called back and said my doc said that probiotics do not affect oral birth control. I called back and left a message letting them know I had to do a lot of research only based on legit medical sites but I found the title of the article and it was on this site. Would she please read it and give me her opinion. The nurse called back 2 days later. My doc read it then did her own research & concluded that there are a few lucky individuals that are super sensitive to probiotics and it does lessen the effect of their oral birth control pills. She told me to stop the shakes and see if I stop for at least a month. Then drink 1 and see what happens. Then call her back. I did. I called her back and left a message that I was back to normal for that month but when I drank that shake the next day I was spotting again the next day and did so for 2 days but then it stopped. The nurse called back to tell me congratulations that I’m one of those very few affected by them and that I should avoid the lactobacillus acidophilus. She said if I eat yogurt or anything else containing any other probiotic to take note which ones are in it if it has this effect again. To this day it is only that 1. And that was about 10 years ago. So the DB may not have that effect on other women taking oral BC. But they might want to use a back up method at first while taking it to see how it effects them. Are there any other supplements that help with weight loss I could take? I’m about to try carnivore if I can afford it. Btw, I just found your channel and so far I love it! I like to learn new things about medicine and wellness. I used to take a lot of supplements based on magazine articles in wellness magazines before we all had the internet. That’s when I was in my late 20’s to early 30’s and felt my best. Now I take an NMN but I’m not sure it’s doing anything. Sometimes I’ll take vit.D, B complex, fish oil, NAC, and a hair growth vitamin by vegamour. But I’m not consistent with them because I really can’t tell they do anything after taking them regularly. I did just get in saffron to try. And Lugol’s solution. I tried the Lugol’s 1 day and I took it undiluted directly under my tongue then swallowed. I broke out in what was like a hot flash and instantly got a headache. I laid down and it didn’t last too long but I felt tired and bad afterwards. I’m not sure if I took too much but I counted 3 drops or if I just don’t need it. I’ve only taken it the one time. I just started the saffron so I don’t know if it’s going to do anything yet.

    People who live into their 80s 90s and beyond have high cholesterol levels. You do not want low numbers as your body weight is 2% cholesterol and your brain is 25% cholesterol. Cholesterol is what your body uses to make repairs everywhere so why would you want to lower your natural repair systems… Do not take medication’s that interfere with it such as statins. Statins accelerate your entire aging process and concentrate on the brain which leads to dementia.

    If you are taking Dihydroberberine or liposomal berberine, you should take approximately 100-300 mg daily, splitting the doses over the day. Remember, berberine effects lasted only four hours, whereas Dihydroxyberberine lasts eight hours, so splitting it into three doses over the day will basically ensure maximum effects.

    @@gogirl8045 who was buying my berberine from swansons vitamins. But I am recently trying another one to see if that one is better it's hiring berberine so I don't have to take so many pills. So far no real change in how I feel just less pills to take. But I actually just started the these new ones. But I bought them on Amazon. They are a complex, so they have other things in them like cinnamon & other things. But statins can confuse the mind and they can make it to the communication between your legs and your brain not work so good. So I was losing my ability to walk. Which I had just gained back, after having been sick in my oxygen down to 30%. And we noticed the same in my father who had had two strokes and trying to walk. He was having trouble walking we thought it was The strokes. After learning he was on a statin drug, I told his doctor I was switching it to berberine. His cholesterol went right down & and he was able to walk. The ability to communicate from the brain what he wanted to do was restored. Not only in his feet but in his hands so he could hold a glass. He was getting frustrated cuz he couldn't figure out why he couldn't hold on to a glass. But that was just our personal experience. No scientific backing as to the side effects of satin drugs. I think it affected us more because we're older. My dad is 89 & I am 64.

    I just tried Berberine for a month. I'm in pretty good shape and very active. I experienced a slight apatite suppression (less desire to eat) but more of a feeling of hunger. I had slight increase in energy but also slight stomach discomfort. Never lost a bit of weight. I might try it again, or the dihydroberberine, in the future.

    I've been taking Berberine for about 2 weeks, 500-1000 mg daily. I don't have a scale, so I can't really give a number, but my belly is flatter. I'm having a distinct drop in my sugar cravings. I'll try the Dihydroberberine once I finish my bottle. I'll be going in for bloodwork soon, so it'll be interesting to see if that and my blood sugar have improved.
