I tend to think there's no universally correct answer to that question. But your criteria to evaluate whether to or not to quit your job is practical but may not to be universally applicable. I have had both experiences of working and managing a goat farm and terminating the job and managing the farm full time so there are things you say I relate with and those I don't. Sometimes I found the job could be so draining that you don't even find time to tend to the farm, for instance, working up to weekends yet goat farming often needs personal touch and time from farm owner. And yet like you said, the job gives reliable income...Conclusively, quiting or not quitting is an INDIVIDUAL rather than UNIVERSALLY CORRECT criteria! Cheers!

Ke rata maele agago moetapele. Kemo mahikeng, im a poultry farmer and i also want to venture into goat farming. I want to quit my job in a decade from now. Please make more videos on vaccines and feeds. So we get inside interms of cost of production so we can estimate profits on our end.

Start goat farming while u are there on a small scale and see if is something that you will love to do. Also know that it takes time ti make profit in goat farming. It took 3 years for me to start making profit.

Sorry to hear this. Thats really sad but if you think its a good idea to do a total switch then go for it but be prepared to pay the price. I am wishing u all the best farmer. I am for one can’t switch at the moment.
