Kars4Kids is in no way a scam. Sure, their jingle is annoying, obnoxious and I HATE IT- but, that is how I know they exist. So, brilliant marketing, lol. Their money does actually go to help kids. Nobody has ever alleged that it does not. Now whether or not you agree with how they use the money to help the kids, is up to you. But, disagreement does not equal scam.

This isn't about materialism - it's a cute way to show a prize. On a side note, is it not materialism that children require specific shoes/coats/briefcases and we as parents help them conform? why should they not want to be driven in a nice car? It is our job as parents to teach them that it is all gashmius but we still buy them the coat they demand. Oorah is giving you the ability and chance to have beautiful things -for the small entry fee of $5 and with that $5 they will help Jewish children connect with the ruchnius - so no, I don't think it is about materialism.
