I moved to Tucson last August, and I love it! The Oro Valley area is great, people are great! I love the small town vibe, the slower pace to enjoy life more. And it's a great city for cycling! 💚

Rachel, I saw a family guy clip about how Tucson is the dumbest city in America and when Peter arrives there he’s greeted by a group of locals punching each other in the genitals. You talk about Tucson being a college town… I’m trying to evaluate if Tucson is a good fit for my family.

Thanks for watching! The University of Arizona is in Tucson and the town is very focused on the university’s sports and culture. Tucson is also a mix of young entrepreneurs, families, and snowbirds. It’s a huge mix of everyone. 👍🏼

It's not, there is nothing to do at all as far as nightlife is concerned, everything closes super early, the food options are bleak, it has some of the crappiest dining I've ever experienced in america! It's very homogeneous and segregated.

@@livingintucsonrachel when I lived in tucson, I was treated terribly by people. They would completely ignore me and speak to my boyfriend as if I wasn't there, this would be at various restaurants, and gas stations, various shops where we could go out and about. One lady even asked him if I was his son because I had a shaved head, never mind the fact that I was wearing a skirt and look like a grown ass woman. Coming from Seattle and San francisco, I've never been somewhere with such poorly educated and limited prospected individuals. The job market down there is terrible, especially if you're in construction project management. That's what I am, and here in Seattle a construction PM can easily make 250k a year after just a few years

We have some of the best food in the nation, not to mention some amazing summers, we have two lakes that surround our gorgeous City and we have really wonderful people that are helping communities out day-to-day, I've never been treated badly because of how I look or the fact that I work out. When I was in tucson, people would ask me if I was on steroids just because I work out and have muscles. It's crazy

Future water shortage is real and isn't getting better with these master communities. Can't invest there long term.

Anyways I have no idea how this got on my feet, I'm out having dinner with some old friends and we are now on a rant about our experiences in the southwest in our 20th. LOL so glad we came back home! We left because it was getting gentrified and filled with super liberal people from the Midwest that were ruining our moderate City politics, but I'm so thankful to be back. I totally shunned the flyover gentrifiers and have a great group of friends from work
