There are soooo many options it's good to shop around and get the most for your money. These things go from $7ish to $200+, so do your research before you pay too much for a crap one! Caveat emptor.

I really like this console. I find the design of the shoulder buttons makes this the most comfortable vertical retro device I've used. The screen is just fantastic.

1:30 i have a theory about both anbernic and powkiddy, that they buy shells, buttons, joysticks and switches from 3rd party manufacturers that, made their own clone systems, for very cheap and put better components inside it

I agree with you that Anbernic makes too many of these handhelds. It gives a false sense of variety, but if you've noticed, they don't make devices that have twin sticks or dial/spinner/paddle controls, nothing like that. They keep making these devices with supposed one size fits all sensibilities, which means there's nothing particularly unique about any one device Ultimately the use cases for these devices are considerably less and do not justify the number of devices they come out with.

To be honest, most Anbernic devices apart from the rg351v do have twin stick controls, and they are known for the best stick on handhelds around 100 bucks.

Hey there! I already trust your judgin ability after watching just 2 of your videos :) Do you have a video about the best multi emulator console in your opinion? I have been searching for some time now for a good emulator that would be powerful enough to play at least psp games. Do you reccomend any devices ? Cheers!

I think this one could have been a lot better if they looked at the way the device actually performs! The problem with most of these consoles/devices seems to be the fact they really cannot run the emulators well enough. It's good that some of the issues with the hardware are improved on, but if the software isn't up to scratch and the device isn't powerful enough to run the games better, then it isn't something that stands out from the many others available! In that case why not go back to the creation of these and get something done about that? With more care and attention these devices could be so much better. The more powerful the device the better the more demanding games would run on it. This seems to be something that doesn't change or improve; which is a shame really, as with a bit of ingenuity and some better and improved specs there could be a decent handheld that would really be worthwhile, rather than just mediocre! Just saying!

I agree, these guys really shouldn't be putting anything on the device it isn't capable of running.

I read that the WiFi switch was a lie cause it was missing the chip. Not sure if they corrected it or if was just a fluke with some of the products.

I recently baught a retroid pocket 2+ and since i cant go back too those systems,

I'm tempted by this model to be honest. I'm pretty sure that some of these Chinese companies don't produce their own handhelds but they're produced by someone else and placed under the powkiddy brand. Not sure how it works but that maybe the reason why they are able to churn out so many different models in such a short period of time in my honest opinion.

No it's reverse there is a chinese company that makes all these handhelds and they rebrand to to whatever, the company makes all these handhelds on order without logo or brand and will slap a brand on it or whatever text a customer wants.

@@ankhenaten2 but the quality of them varies so much, even with the same brand so I'm guessing there are a number of companies that churn these things out and companies like Powkiddy just stick their logo on it. I bet Powkiddy don't produce these units at all.

I'm thinking 3D print a grip that this would slot into which would allow your hands to more comfortably sit down lower and more correctly over the d-pad

I also like the fact that it's serviceable You can open it without having to use pry tools and that battery is very easily sourced and replaced. I really wish they would put lithium iron phosphate batteries in these things I would take an hour less run time to know that battery is going to last 10 or 20 years

It's crazy how Project Justice on the Dreamcastor Soul Caliber for the PSP work fairly well, but MK2 runs horribly. Like wut???

They chose that yellow shell and "friendly" design to try and ape the PlayDate console. While it looks OK, it's underperforming compared to the most recent chips.

How could one align a screen on one of these that isn’t properly aligned? Like the bottom of the screen is lays down onto the device correctly, but the top is sticking up, sort of wants to come out when cleaning it. Idk how to take it apart to maybe move or place in the the screen and maybe see if I can set it in right. If I was to unplug those wires do they go back on and work properly or will that destroy it??? Can you please maybe show me how to access the screen. I don’t want to waste 120$ lol

Yeah bought mine off an Instagram ad. Paid 24 for each as I got the one with more games and memory. I used my credit just in case it was a scam. But I can't wait to see. The thing is the Chinese makes these for cheap. It's the American companies that add the higher price on it because they need their cut. But I hope this is legit because I can put custom firmware on it and improve it performance. Nothing crazy but let's see.

The shell does not look nice, but there are some nice front stickers available. The device is not so bad for the price, depends on what you want to play. Skipped it so far.

Hello. Looking for help please. I just received my powkiddy and was able to play it for about 20 minutes. Now the screen is just black and nothing will work. The orange light is on indicating the power is on but nothing… I have charged it fully but nothing is working. Please help 🙏

I don't see the point in any mono sound from any devices these days. Cassettes, Bluetooth speakers and the like - why? The sound is never going to sound as it should (or decent) with these, so why do that? Much better to have Stereo sound rather than some awful tinny sounding single speaker. After all the majority of consoles are in stereo and the games made for them are also. What next 'Oh let's save even more money and give people a black and white picture too?'. Just saying!

How do you load and save

The animal face design just looks like they are trying to appeal to ladies and little kids who like cartoon animal designs. The fact its a way late to the party along with the animal face design will probably kill the sales of that handheld. Its kind of reminds me of a higher end version of the chicken handheld. That said I would love a gameboy style DMG handheld with four shoulder buttons, the joysticks on the bottom and D-pad and ABXY buttons above those joysticks. Heck probably add some C and Z buttons to it and it would be perfect for the six button Genesis/MegaDrive games, arcade fighting games and some N64 games that it can handle. I like the fact they have separate easily accessible micro sd card slots for the games and firmware. This means you won't have to take apart the device to upgrade the firmware like you do with the original RG350. And you won't have reload roms on a SD card after every firmware upgrade like you do with some other handhelds.This is something that should be standard on all future handhelds. The FN button will probably make it easier to exit out of games if its anything like the reset button on the powkiddyV90. This means not having to remember combination keys to go into the emulator settings or to exit out of a game.

This the RGB20s, different from the RGB20. A competitor for the Miyoo Mini V2. Russ at Retrogamecorps liked it, especially that awful sticker. You prety much know what you are getting with the RK3326. Likely $10-$15 overpriced in 2022.
