I bought one a few months ago. It's pretty awesome. Got EmuELEC 4.3 and retro oz installed on different SD cards. Retro oz can even do Saturn. The factory firmware wasn't terrible but upgrading it is worth the time to get a lot better performance. It's one of my favorite handhelds. Only thing I wish was better you pointed out is the sound.

That handheld packed with features and looks first class👍

Yeah, this is my go-to handheld at the moment. Feels good in the hands, and the screen is sweet. Thinking about upgrading to an Odin Pro later this year, but for now this one's good enough.

So glad you did this one. I've been watching these on aliexpress wondering if it was a little better than the last powkiddys

I have one here, works pretty much as you say in your great review. If you don't want to spend over $200 for marginal improvements this is a good choice. Tinker with different firmware and settings and it's a lot of fun.

I love this system. I really like the menu it's very nice. I dont care for N64 so for me that's not even an issue. All the older games would look really nice on this screen and MK1 even runs well 👏. I would manually add another speaker myself. Another awesome upload wicked as always 👍😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

They're getting closer, beef up the internals a bit, charge a bit more if they have to and I am in.

Easily the most beautiful RK3326 device. I really hope they keep with this design in the future. I love the White version. I'm always rewatching reviews on this device because of how beautiful it is

Great video! Are there any handhelds that have Amiga games, I noticed this one has spectrum which is cool but I really want to find one with Amiga, having spectrum as well would be a bonus

What are your thoughts getting a used phone for around the same price and maybe a little more juice, like lg velvet or lg v50 even. Get that and something like the kishi and got a good system

These things can't even max out the speed of a micro SD, best fork out the cash for a steam deck if you want m.2

I have the original RGB 10 Max in black. I love it. I actually like the shape of it. The internals on both versions are exactly the same. The Max 2 has a slightly brighter screen but outside of that the play identical.

I have the original max as well. The slightly brighter screen, the stacked shoulder buttons and the design of the Max is better to I think, so if you get one obviously the Max 2 would be the pick. But performance wise theres no difference. Im fine with the original Max.

@@fonzitheman Funny thing is I've held the Max 2 and the original actually feels better in my hands. I like the simplicity of it and that soft rubber the original has. You can also use a switch lite case to carry it around in if you want. What I noticed is because of the emulation limitations all the games that would require you to need all 4 of the shoulder buttons typically don't play anyway. I would love for them to make the next version with a more powerful chipsets but I believe with the software optimized you can run a lot on the current chipsets. I know there are more powerful handhelds out there but for what I paid for it I'm very happy with it.

@@P.Strong For the money I think theyre fine. Would like see a 7" like this, running linux so I could use Batocera or Emuelec etc. Currently running Batocera v32 on mine. V33 messed a few things up so went back to v32. A lot people favour Retro Arena or RetroOz too.

@@fonzitheman I love Batocera. The Batocera.conf file is awesome to have and use to all your settings. So many advantages to using Batocera I'm glad Retropie is not being talked about as the best solution. It is far from being something I would use on any device.

Nice to see you finally getting your hands on this sweet handheld console! Did you get one with the 64GB or the 128gb? I personally, am waiting for the arrival of the rose pink shell color with 128GB...can't for the life of me find a full game list file for each memory size version, though. Also never thought I'd choose a pink-colored console, but here I am, surprising myself! 😂

If youre new to the emulation handheld party this one would be the pick as far as the 3326 chipset goes and want a slightly bigger screen than the usual 3.5" thats available.

We have Odin Base for 240 right now, which can do plenty of PS2 pretty darn we'll, but it's not perfect (which is actually amazing). We're still very far from Wii U, let alone for $150.

Select none for decorations option and set aspect ratio to 16:9. Games will look stretched ofcourse. If they look to squashed try 16:10 as it will still have tiny black bars, if thats still to squashed looking try 3:2. Thats a nice compromise between still getting a slightly larger play window and barely looks squashed at all.

I made a mistake and brought this thing.. never had one of these I don't know how to even back out of games I did something left it on now it's on a weird menu, I shut it down I think I put it away. This thing came with no instructions basic instructions none at all. I've seen videos on how to mod but nothing on a house actually control the thing anyways hopefully when I watch your video I'll learn something.

Does Select+Start (possible twice) how to exit a game on this? That's the default in EmuELEC if they didn't change it on this device.

Love that because it is not small 3.5 inch screen like most of handhelds from China, everything is ready to go without complications, but I've got ps vita hacked and 256gb card plus 2 hacked psp and pocket go s30 , and to be fair dont need anything else at this moment 😉

What’s a real handheld w/5” screen, tv out, SD adapter (but preloaded), 2 analogues, a real “+” d-pad? How much?

It's an emulator. You can download as many roms (no links due to copyright issues) as you want or can fit on the card.

I really want something like this, but when my phone can run Wii, Gamecube, PSP, Dreamcast and 3DS at their native resolutions with solid 30fps (60fps Dreamcast), it makes it incredibly hard to justify the price tag.

Holy cow, they want over $150, for mono and sketchy DC/PS1 (far worse N64)? No TV output, even barest bones HDMI? I’d pay $40 (USD) for this. Because my At Games 3.2” white Genesis clone cost me $26 7 years ago and still works w/SD, VGA out included. Cost Vs Performance + time/chip/emu progression in 7 years doesn’t make this $150!

How do you edit (add and delete) games from the favorites list?

Damn that's bummer with the audio, I hate horrible audio when playing games, sound moves our emotions, sound is just as important at visuals and performance, that's a bad decision to cheap out on, why can't any of these companies ever just do the right thing with the newer models

If you've got a high end Android phone I don't really see the point in these devices, I'm using an S21 Ultra with a Razor Kishi controller and that's a great combination.

I'm still not sure why it's a 16:9 device with the usual RK3326 chipset. What 16:9 console is it emulating? None. The RGB10 Max 2 shell + controller though is nice, and the screen looks pretty good too. If It had the Retroid Pocket 2+'s SoC, or something around that strength, it'd be good. The Miyoo P60 slated to come out soon would be great in a shell like this.

PSP is widescreen. PS1, N64 and DC emulators can expand the FOV to fill a 16:9 screen with no stretching, GBA is 3:2 and a lot of GBA games can be cropped or stretched to 16:9 without looking too bad. Also, having a 4:3 screen would be more expensive due to the countless numbers of factories pumping out 5" 720p 16:9 LCDs, whereas no one makes 4:3 panels on such scale that they would be a cost effective option.

@@talibong9518 PS1/N64 have absolutely no native 16:9 options dude. It's being stretched if you see it displayed as such. DC/PS2 *sometimes* did, but were almost exclusively 4:3. Also GBA games like anything would look like balls when stretched to an abnormal aspect ratio.
