Of course we dont judge a book by it's cover but we are human beings with intellect. With that being said, we judge by what is apparent and we do research to conclude our judgement. Isnt that what the Quran teaches us? Am i going to give a poor guy $10 if he is smoking? Cmon. I will judge a man without a beard if he continues to shave it and if he continues to shy away from the sunnah (that can be seen with the eye). Similarly he can judge me as well. It is my duty to obviously have a beard if allah allows me as that is what the prophet instructed.
