agreed. I think this episode shows how toxic the “we have to stay together because we’re related” mindset can be, and how far people will go to maintain a nuclear family structure (obviously it’s exaggerated here to make the point, and for comedic purposes)

I always love all your reactions to DHMIS, this episode was such an unsettling one to me, especially when they were the first "human" teachers to be introduced.

I personally don't think they're official teachers. It seems much like the apple was supposed to be the teacher but was interrupted when he... well... died.

I still believe the theory Lily and Todney aren’t supposed to be teachers. They just broke into the trio’s house.

The first twenty minutes of the episode, I was feeling that it was just okay. The vibe was nice and creepy, but overall this had been the weakest episode yet. Then, ROY SHOWED UP. My mind was BLOWN entirely. I *love* that scene so much.

in britain we have a show called fireman sam and there are 2 characters (twins) called sarah and james. one of the things that made it creepy for me the fact that the twins here are similar looking to the fireman sam twins form the very early series

Yeah i think it's a reference to them. I hadn't realized that lol . There's a lot of things in the series referencing british kids tv shows, Wallace and gromit, camberwick green (Or at least Mulhoven is in that genre, you could also say postman pat is similar to it)
