Friendship, or nothing at all. Deep thoughts, intriguing question. In my opinion, not a correct answer, personal choice. Two involved individuals, both must agree. In my situation, absolutely no doubt in my mind. Preference for him to remain part of my life. Obviously, we are not in agreement.

This song is my mantra.. for 11 years, I love a man who doesn't love me.. he moved on to another lady. He told me many times now that he wants us to be able to hang out like we used to.but I know that it's just me that suffers the consequences of hope. If no one can relate to this song, they are lucky.

I guess I'm not so lucky. I'm 61 years old, never been married or had kids. I've always been second best. At my age now, I know that there was never anyone for me and there never will be. If God hates me so much, then why did he create me and sentence me to a life of loneliness? Beats the flying fuck outta me! I feel your pain, believe me, I do!

One of the most beautiful saddest songs of all time...Back in 2013 I met a wonderful woman who I started dating and after several months we became full fledged boyfriend and girlfriend we were madly in love but ironically the relationship only lasted for 5 years but they were some of the happiest years of my life...In the year 2018 she met someone else and got married and I was devastated but life went on as I soon discovered... Tragically in 2020 she lost her life to the Corona virus and all I can think about is the good times we had together...R.I.P. babe...😭😭😭...

I am glad to grow up listening to such classics in the 70s. Really time flies fast.

This song always reminded me of a love interest (in my mind) from high school. I always thought it was just me but 38 years later I get a message on my phone. Maybe it wasn't just me. I feel 17 again.

I'm generally not into "country-ish" music, and I forgot about hearing Lobo songs on the radio back in the early-mid 70s (when I was around 10-15 years old, give or take), but hearing this song--as well as another song from the same album, "I'd Love You to Want Me"--brings back fond memories of that time in my life. 😊

I love this song to much to ever stop liking it or listening to it, so so nice 1972, was a good year for me

Love this Lobo song he had such an amazing voice

The 70’s were the best years for music. The last decade for real music. After that it became all computerized and souless. Loved the love songs and beautiful ballads. And Lobo’s voice!!!! Never another one like it. He is blessed with such song writing talent also. One of a kind guy! Love him!

1972 was an excellent year for music! The tunes are so melodic! Great era in rock! The Golden age of rock n roll!

Me too , my friend , me too.... Only mine is occuring in real time as we speak :( ... When the time is right I am going to send her this song and make her listen to it from beginning to end closely, because this song is for her from me.... I cant believe how much this song mirrors my feelings... Regardless of all the betrayal, I still really do love her with every fiber of my being.. She was my best friend in this world and fiance.. and that makes it 2 losses that I am mourning over.. But I love her way to much to ever just be friends...... I'd rather drop off the face of the earth and lose all communications then deal with that emotional distress.. and anxiety...and depression any longer than I must endure
