The Yamaha RX100 was the go-to bike for two-wheeler enthusiasts back in the 80’s and early-90s. Back then, the Yamaha RX100 not only set a benchmark for two-stroke motorcycles but also single-handedly changed people’s perspective towards motorcycling.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and the company kept manufacturing it until March 1996. The government’s decision to pull the plug on all two-stroke motorcycles ended of the Yamaha RX100's reign in India. But the success story carries on even today
The RX100 was the result of Yamaha going back to the drawing room after the RD350 failed to light up the market. But even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated the outcome of their radical approach, making the Yamaha RX100 the legend it is today. The best example of this is that enthusiasts are still willing to handover hefty amounts of money in order to own a well-maintained example of the RX100.
The Yamaha RX100 was powered by an air-cooled, 98cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke motor that produced 11PS @ 7500rpm. Power was sent to the rear wheel via a 4-speed gearbox. The company also claimed a 0-60kmph time of 7.5 seconds. Furthermore, the Yamaha RX100 was not only reliable but affordable as well, making it accessible to many. The performance and reliability factor made it a winner in the eyes of enthusiasts. In fact, the Yamaha RX100 became one of India’s best-selling two-stroke machines, until it was replaced with the RX-G.
The part that makes us spring with joy are the rumours of Yamaha reviving the RX100, but with a four-stroke engine instead. However, our excitement levels have dimmed down as there has been no official confirmation from Yamaha as of yet. So, till we get a solid confirmation on its comeback, we can only wait and anticipate that the RX100 will once again revolutionise the Indian two-wheeler commuter segment. TVS Victor now competes with Yamaha RX

packing rahega toh bhi petrol ata hai bahar. there is absolutely no solution to this
Bro rx 100 may jo 2t oil hota hay uske sath castor oil bhi use kar sakte hay kya 60:40 ratio may divide karke because castor oil has high lubrication capacity and also it burn's slowly .Aap kya bolte hay. Idea hay kya kuch eske bare may aapko aap ek baar aapne mech se advice ligiye na. Block piston bohot accha rahega high pick up may bhi. Plz investigate it...
Bro I have also a rx100 but it is turning off when I down the gear at the high speed. Please help me

Hi, where can I get good steel spokes? If u have any idea please share, i m from Thane only. 5 years back i purchased Splendors spokes phir usko shine ke liye buffing Kiya tha. Abhi thoda kharab ho gaya hai so I need to change.

buy hero spokes and then do good quality plating
check ur fuel tank cap rubber gasket , u will not face that fuel spill out of tank

in maharashtra it is completely legal to ride rx with renewed papers but in delhi it is banned completely to ride 15 year old vehichles
Your fuel tank cap rubber gasket will be old and cracked that is why petrol coming out, ....I dont face this problen
