The Yamaha RX100 was the go-to bike for two-wheeler enthusiasts back in the 80’s and early-90s. Back then, the Yamaha RX100 not only set a benchmark for two-stroke motorcycles but also single-handedly changed people’s perspective towards motorcycling.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and the company kept manufacturing it until March 1996. The government’s decision to pull the plug on all two-stroke motorcycles ended of the Yamaha RX100's reign in India. But the success story carries on even today
The RX100 was the result of Yamaha going back to the drawing room after the RD350 failed to light up the market. But even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated the outcome of their radical approach, making the Yamaha RX100 the legend it is today. The best example of this is that enthusiasts are still willing to handover hefty amounts of money in order to own a well-maintained example of the RX100.
The Yamaha RX100 was powered by an air-cooled, 98cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke motor that produced 11PS @ 7500rpm. Power was sent to the rear wheel via a 4-speed gearbox. The company also claimed a 0-60kmph time of 7.5 seconds. Furthermore, the Yamaha RX100 was not only reliable but affordable as well, making it accessible to many. The performance and reliability factor made it a winner in the eyes of enthusiasts. In fact, the Yamaha RX100 became one of India’s best-selling two-stroke machines, until it was replaced with the RX-G.
The part that makes us spring with joy are the rumours of Yamaha reviving the RX100, but with a four-stroke engine instead. However, our excitement levels have dimmed down as there has been no official confirmation from Yamaha as of yet. So, till we get a solid confirmation on its comeback, we can only wait and anticipate that the RX100 will once again revolutionise the Indian two-wheeler commuter segment. TVS Victor now competes with Yamaha RX.

If you buy YAMAHA RX 100 or RX 135 whichever just make sure all the papers are cleared. You can restore the bike later..!!! But having all the paperwork cleared is the main priority...!!!

buy it no issues but buy it from a trusted seller. after sometime if you feel something is wrong with the tank like it is starting to rust or tank's shape is changing then switch back to old tank. dont sell your old tank

If rc is now not walid and is not renued form 1 year so green tax is not paid between so is penalties taken but . I have not even knowing about the green tax. I saw it in your vidos before due to this pandemic I could not renew now situation is bit ok so i am now thinking to renew rc . Do you have any idea what I should do . Will i need to pay a penalty or not. / I have, YAMAHA RX 135

Kunal, here in Karnataka it goes upto 95k, a well maintained RX100. 55k is no way near here unless it is in abandoned condition

I think this guy is from South India, fair restored rx with clean papers cost around 35k-60k here in mizoram
A well maintained RX💯 should cost around 80k with all papers clear and not more than 80k, let it be any model if Indian model then 70k is last and if it’s japan model then 80k last.

My friend bought a restored Rx 100 for 40 k nicely restored 3 Rd owner here in karnataka with proper documents but had to spend 10 k extra for wiring and some gear problem.

as far as the bike feels awesome to ride and papers are clean you are good to go. till date I have spent over 80k just on restoration of my bike. the riding feel should be awesome thats what matters.

For city ride RX 100 is good, for long ride RX 135 is good.... RX 135, 5 gears is better.....

merko 22k me mil gayi bhai RX100 paper 2015 tak valid hai, 10-15k me paper ready ho jayenge. ekdum stock paint gaadi hai aur condition bhi jabardast hai.
