Even more convincing is that it goes into a fake permanent data corruption leading the player to forcefully format their switch, and soon cuts back to the game to yell out a giant "fuck you" at the player. Although that could leave Nintendo in a never ending lawsuit...

Your it basically sets up a battle with Mario and his partners against some enemy that isn’t in the game, then there’s no way to defeat the enemy and then Anti-Piracy or smth pops up.

The Lottery is on a day schedule, and you can never win the grand prize until you play it at least 150 times... minimum. AT least that is how it was. I'm not sure how it is now.

If I recall correctly the game keeps track of the latest date. So if you were to modify the date more than 1 day backwards, you will still run into problems. The trick is to move a day forward each time but you likely won't get the grand prize till after 340 days. Then good luck when you eventually change the date back

@@gilitovenegas2339 I mean there was a similar thing in Breath of the Wild where if you read Purah's diary there was a fake out of your runes being deleted, which is not as severe, but I mean if that did happen the game would be pretty much impossible to complete. So a save data deletion fake out in The Thousand Year Door would not really be exactly warranting of a lawsuit, especially if it was a fake.

But… what would happen if you try again…? There is also something like this in an older game called Jade Empire. It’s a mini game where you roll dice and bet if your dice is higher or lower than the dealer’s. If you reload after any loss a total of ten times, the god of fortune in the game will kill the dealer in a gory mess and make you unable to play the dice game on that save ever again.
