I bought Nexon ev at 12.5 lac with subsidy and zero registration charges ..!! Means only difference of 4.5L rs. Now my car consumes less electricity too.. Even that is free for me.. as I have installed solar panels.. Hence zero running cost. Plus 8 years of unconditional guarantee on car by TATA. Also I always save thousands of rupees on my car service. Because electric cars don't require much things to replace like engine oil etc at the time of service. at the end Fuel prices will drastically go up in coming days..

There is registration charges. But it is 50% less than petrol or diesel engine

Nexons base varient comes for 9.55 lacs on road. But that is for manual. If you are comparing with an ev atleast compare with petrol base automatic varient, which for nexon is XMA that comes for 11.5 lacs. Nexon ev base varient is EV prime XM which comes for 15.4 lacs and has better features. On top of this you also get a tax refund of 1.5 lacs which comes around atleast 1 lac or more based on your tax bracket. So effectively your ev cars cost will come up to 14.5 to 14 lacs. Now this is a difference of about 2.5 to 3 lac. So by your calculation if one saves 6 rs per km. One has to drive for 40k to 50k kms to recover cost . If you drive 600 km per month, roughly 15 to 20 km per day, you will break even in 5 to 6 years . Additionally you don't have mentainance heavy parts like clutch plate, engine, fuel transmission etc, so you will save atleast 30 to 40k per year on maintenance after first year. I have a lot of respect for indian creators and understand the amount of effort that goes into making such videos but Please do a little bit of research before making such videos

600 km is low..this is normal because of ice running cost people won't drive much..but ideally 1000 to 1200 km per month to drive around metro city with this u will reach break even in 2 to 3 year

Couple of corrections: Let's consider same model XZ + Tata Nexon Petrol Will cost you around 13 Lakhs with RTO and all. While Tata Nexon EV will cost 16 Lakh So diff is of 3 lakh if you ride your vehicle 20,000 KM the cost will be easily covered. You considered Tata Nexon Petrol without RTO. Infact some states provide subsidy so your EV will come for 14.7~15 Lakh

Nexon gets a warranty of 8 years on battery. Even if the battery gets damaged, then they will change those few damaged cells not the whole battery. If ur car has a damaged engine, do u change the entire engine?

It isn't you have to change it every 8 or 9 years the warranty period of battery is till 8 years. Ev battery can last for 15 years easily

They look identical, but they're not the same. Look at the power/Torque figures; EV variant has figures of atleast 2 segment higher cars.

Meri running total 80 - 90 km per day mere pas Nexon ko liye lagbag 2 saal ho gye or 87500 km chal gai wo bhi lagbag 0 mention per 50 -50 km day running hai to tata Nexon achaa option hai

Only 4-5 lakh more cost and u save 12 lakhs over 8yrs or 1.6,lakh km warranty....

Yes ev lena tabhi beneficial hai jab app daily use karte ho aur gaadi aapki jaida chalti ho. Baaki petrol prices future me aur badne hai and petrol car me maintenance bhi aati hai. Ev me battery Puri replacement nahi hogi sirf vo cells replace ki jarurat hogi jo inefficient hai. Evs ki maintenance na ke barabar hai.

Sasta hai & long lasting hai. Agar 3 years ke bad change karna v pada battery toh v mera fyada ha. But mera easily 5 years jayega. Woh NMC battery Rs 40000 ka hota ha. Han hum gawar nhi ha. Dont compare ICE base manual variant with EV mid Variant. Compare Nexon Petrol Automatic Mid Variant with Nexon EV mid Variant. This is because EV is automatic car. If one drives 60-100 kms daily, EV may make sense.

At least electric vehicles don't keep emitting CO2 and other green-house gases into the atmosphere as the car runs. Nano le lo . 50000 ki mil jayegi . 25 ka average degi aur koi kharcha nahin 800000 aur buch jaenge

Agr petrol/diesel variant lia toh per day 15-20km (atleast) yani har din almost 2lt ka fuel, means 106*2 = 212/day,,,,yani 212*30= 6360/month,,,yani 6360*12= 76,320/yearly,,,,,aur gaadi agr 10saal chali fir 7,63,200 sirf petrol diesel ka, and this is with current fuel price, future me badh gya toh 8-9Lakh ka hisab lagalo and yes maintanence cost ka joda nai hai avi isme....💀

@@SmitePlayz_ Bro 80% of electricity produced in india is from coal power plant. So the process of mining transporting and burning of coal is no better than that of petrol. EV will only be good for nature if the electricity used to charge it is coming from renewable sources.

Batteries are generally designed for 500000km which will outlive your driving life time. Plus you can sell old battery pack at decent price as it can be used as power backup

Sick of hearing the crap that EV are environment friendly. EV need electricity and if we switch all cars to EV then the demand for electricity will surge drastically and to produce the extra electricity will also cause increase in pollution, as we produce maximum electricity from Coal and nuclear source both of them are causing great pollution world wide.

This calculation is absolutely true if your focus is on economy. But if you want to have comfort then EV is the best to buy to enjoy driving

I have purchased Tiago EV long range at 11.5 lacks got subsidy 1.5 lacks so landed at 10.0 lack. Similar Automatic petrol model cost 8.5 lacks . So paying 1.5 lacks higher. Now 1.6 lacks kms is warranty for battery . To drive 1.6 lacks kms approx 1000 ltr petrol requires @16 kms per L average so after 1.6lacks kms ownership cost will be 18.5 lacks . Where as Tiago ev ownership cost will be 11.5 lacks after 1.6 lacks kms . You also save service cost with ev additionally. An utmost importance is ease and comfort of driving. Moral of story is that buy low cost ev and if you have daily driving of more than 80 kms don't hesitate buy ev only. I m writing this after 30000 kms driving in last one year .

There are some guys who just want to buy electric varient no matter they have to pay for it but in a profitable way petrol varient is cost efficient in city usage .

I bought a brand new Maruti eeco in July 2021 for Rs 5 lacks on road price. Spent Rs 1 lakh on converting it into a camper with kitchen auto lpg gas music system racks reverse camera mat foot rests seat covers etc drove to Leh ladakh from coimbatore and back drove to the Nilgiri mountains drove to kerala and still going strong. Recovered cost of lpg conversion and the cost of traveling is equal to a two wheeler

You are totally wrong because I installed solar panels on the balcony of my apartment and now I can charge my Electric Sedan without money and the car and the solar panel set both will last for at leat 10 years. Means after spending some money I can enjoy hassle free, pollution free, smell free, vibration free life for 10 years. Even Servicing cost is way less than a diesel or electric 😁🤗

Something we don't have to see money , because it's our responsibility to shift on ev to reduce pollution. Some say do you know that electricity is made of coal , but we also shift on renewable resources, so don't see everything on finance point of view

There are many advantages of EV over petrol. Money is not everything, if you can afford it.

EV is SWAG and comfort. For city dwellers, it is excellent. Why ? The reason for it is that you need not queue at petrol pumps every week. Just come home , plug in and that's it. Price is not a matter for rich. These EV are for Rich not middle class.
