Try to update to a the software. The subscription has nothing to with unit. The subscription just allows you to download all the latest updates for it. Most will still work without an update but won't have the info for the latest vehicle models for the next few years. Like a computer running Windows 10 still works it's just not running on windows 11 which is the latest software update so far.

This video almost scared me a bit, because I looked at a few reviews, and for an entry level scanner, they sounded positive so I just bought one today. Then I read the Comments.

Congratulations!! It's a great scanner.

Seems like its a hardware or software issue, not a subscription issue. Years later, Mine is working like new without a subscription. My subscription expired years ago.

My Autel Ms906BT today after not having a subscription 2 yrs lost Chevrolet as a usa vehicle in my selection smh wonder how many other cars i lost

I dont even have one and it works after subscription.

lol don’t buy a scanner if you’re not using it especially a scanner like that like me. I pay subscriptions because I need them. Obviously you didn’t need it so obviously yeah this is your fault lol this made my day.

I think that you just need the subscription to update softwares

You are obviously having a vehicle bus communication problem, nothing wrong with the scan tool.

With the subscription you can send it in for repair also remember you need to download software.

Up grade the vlc firmware in the setting menu you need to connect it to vehicle and need internet connection ... I had the same problem with my autel now its fixed

I had a car with a check engine light but no codes. Needed an ecm. Dont remember what the vehicle was though.

i just had a 600 launch do the same thing bought it 2 yrs ago only used 6 times now it wont comunicate with anything you hook it to says no connection detected🤷🤷 600 bucks thrown out the window!!

Unfortunately, almost all modern scanners require a subscription.

I hate the fact they don't offer free updates but you have to pay $100 a year. Wish I had bought there competitors brand that offers free updates for life !

@@PisstNBrokeOffroad foxwell 644 elite, 680 pro, thinkscan max, thinktool mini, topdon artidiag bt 800. They scan and offer some special functions, but they don't have bidirectional control and ecu coding.

I don't think he's talking about the subscription He's talking about it doesn't read probably from 96 all the way maybe to 2003 I bought mine and it doesn't read older vehicles from 2003 all the way to down 1996 that sucks I hate that. "SAD" I'm thinking of returning mine I still have 20 days.

It's a 2000 vehicle, it may not be capable? Try rebooting the tool

I have mine for 3 years np and I did not pay for the upgraded but now 2022 new upgraded active test is on there not full but half
