Thank you for the video. In my opinion active testing is a big thing, and it’s the whole point of these big screen scanners. I was able to troubleshoot the AC coil, turned out it was not engaging every time the ecu sent power to it once it got hot (after the engine warm up). All the shops around were only taking guesses. Turned on the AC coil active test - with the engine off, and at first it was clicking every second, but after a minute it started missing the clicks.

Sorry in my opinion active tests make all the difference in the world, and it's definitely worth the extra money for bi directional control scanners. They are way ahead of just simple "code reader" type scanners.

mK-808 and the mP-808 both have "Bi-Directional Controls" meaning that you can rev you engine or recline your power seats with the touch of a screen. mP-808 has extra things like TPMS programing and ECU- Encoding, hence the price difference. Be mindful that there is a difference between ECU encoding and Active Testing both of which are forms "Bi-Directional Controls". Most people don't typicaly need ECU encoding to diagnose and fix common car problems. ECU Encoding is for when you want to permanently change electronic features such as; Removing daytime-running lights or removing a seat belt chime. HP tuners also uses a form of ECU Coding which changes how your car runs and drives.
