Bluth's movies are probably even more sentimental than Disney, but unlike Walt Disney he's not creating any folksy persona to sell his stuff - in every thing he does, good or bad, he's just being himself, sentimental warts and all, and he's never lost that quality in 40 years of working in this business. That's why he's so easy to make fun of, and also so easy to like.

I love the story about how he based Mrs.Brisby after his grandmother. It kind of reminded me that we as a society are not as kind as we probably should be to single mothers

I just wanna say that I freakin LOVE these Dizographies so much! I haven't really found any other videos that go over the accomplishments of these animators in such great detail. They're all so brilliantly edited. And I love that you take information from so many different sources. As an animation nerd, these are endlessly entertaining and informative. Please keep up the excellent work!

I started this channel because I wanted to learn about these people and there wasn't any bite sized formats for doing it. @@Dizographies Aww, well, I'm just speakin the truth. You deserve so many more views and subscribers because it's clear that you took lots of time and care to synthesize so much information about these people. I really enjoy these profiles a lot. And I'm glad you're helping to give these animators and voice artists their proper credit! I'm especially happy that you covered Ward Kimball, as he is my all-time favorite animator (and possibly even favorite person in history). I read his biography (The Life and Times of Ward Kimball) from cover-to-cover and that man is just incredible. Will you be eventually covering Andreas Deja and the rest of the Nine Old Men? And Freddie Moore and Norm Ferguson? I'd also love to hear about the women from Ink & Paint like Hazel Sewell and Mary Weiser. This is great stuff! I look forward to seeing more! :)

Sorry it took so long to reply :D I'm going though comments for the correction video coming up. YES! Andreas Deja is definitely on the list. as well as Norm Ferguson. I tried to start a Freddie Moore video, but is story was so sad, and short I stopped. I will defiantly revisit him soon though! Doing Ink and Paint girls is a great Idea!!! Thank you for the names and consider them on the list!!

@@Dizographies No need to apologize. I know it takes a lot of time to make these videos. :) I don't blame you about Freddie. His life was very tragic...but he still contributed so much to the Disney animation style and a lot of the Nine Old Men learned so much from him (before surpassing him, that is). I'm so happy you're considering the girls of Ink & Paint! I had no idea how involved their jobs were until I read that ginormous book about them called Ink & Paint: The Women of Walt Disney's Animation. (Fantastic read! Highly recommended if you're an animation fan!) I look forward to seeing more videos on these Disney artists. Keep up the incredible work (but also, take your time and take care of yourself, as I know these videos do take a while to produce).

I watched to learn more about Secret of N.I.M.H (which I had no idea I would come to love so much) and came away with more. Excellent stuff!

Don bluth is one of the farthers of animation

Nice job on Don Bluth episode 1. 👍 Also, I sure hope that, when you edit Don Bluth episode 2, you make my request of using the Oscars' "so many kids watch these movies" speech as a running gag a reality. I did mention that it would be the perfect opportunity to use that "so many kids" clip while showing some of the most terrifying clips from Bluth's early movies.
