Disney trying to sell the wøke Zegler catastrophe, even after Zegler belittled and denigrated Adriana Caselotti and the 1937 film.
Adriana got done dirty. She had such an angelic voice, yet she never got the chance to take advantage of it after Snow White hit theaters.

She has such a beautiful and iconic voice. Everytime I listen to "Someday My Prince Will Come" it makes me teary eyed. Her voice is moving and emotional.

I hope nobody gives that so called live action remake a dime of their money. "Snow White..." is a classic that you just don't touch. It's one of the greatest films ever made.
Gosh I'm in loooooooove. Adriana was respectful and supportive of Disney and Snow White all her life. What an intelligent, and powerful person, in the real sense, not the boss babe pushed on this actual generation. (display of weakness actually)

It is perfectly understandable for Disney to want to secure the Snow White brand. It was her destiny. I am sure she knew that she had the chance of a lifetime with this role when she affirmed her voice will never die. Extraordinary story.

She has a unique pronounce and beautiful voice it is hard to forget and she was right her voice lives on until now. I still adore her voice. And I get why Walt sign her for long contract a voice like that is pure gold and ageless. It is hard to find any voice nowadays.

Adrianna Caselotti was the BEST DISNEY PRINCESS VOICE *EVER*. No other princess could sing better than her in their wildest dreams and her speaking voice is ENDLESSLY ENDEARING. She was the first, the fairest and the greatest.
1:17 Originally, Walt Disney hired opera singer turned actress Deanna Durbin (under contract to MGM at the time) to do Snow White. But to his disgust, when Deanna tested for the part via the mic, she sounded too mature, too prissy. So Deanna got dropped. Then Walt went for a 18 year old up-and-coming ingenue named Adriana Caselotti and by God, you know, Adriana nailed it perfectly by a large. Her voice hit all the right notes. Of course, her voice will always be iconic in terms of the character. I think she will always be Snow White too. Cos the 1937 original is and shall remain unshakeable, even by modern standards.

Actually, the 1937 film, though mostly still quite charming, does creak a little in certain respects by modern sensibilities - mainly women's roles. I'm not being "woke" - I'm (in 2023) a 63-year-old white male, but even I find some aspects of it a little jarring. I see it as of its time, but I suspect a lot of younger folk would find it more so. (I know nothing of this 2024 one the spambot keeps talking about.)
She will always be Snow White as far as I’m concerned.

Agreed. If you look through his history, although he made a lot of amazingly good and successful decisions, he also made a whole bunch of bad decisions that ended up hurting his company. the one that comes directly to mind is his response to the Unions, he lost a lot of good animators to that conflict :/

This is so fantastic. What a treasure.
The original voice actors like Adriana and the others were the REAL Disney Princesses and princes and the only versions as such, the versions of the characters today that are voiced by other people I don’t even bother watching because they are from other universes and just aren’t the same in my mind… Not just the voices but the way they are all animated today aren’t the same either… Fun fact while Snow and Florian are the first official Disney Princess and Prince, Panchito and Jose’ are technically the 2nd Princes as they came before Phillip and The Prince… (It doesn’t help Jaoquin Garay in his younger years back then literally looked and sounded like a Prince! 😊🥰😍) Everything aside though such a shame Adriana and all the rest weren’t more out there and recognized back then getting much other roles, they really made these characters like no modern version of them today even compares!
I know that many people felt that Walt Disney treated Adriana badly by his contract with her. I understand. It wasn't his best decision. But, don't forget that Walt Disney was a man of his generation. Not breaking the illusion that a famous character exists was extremely important back in the day, especially when children are involved. Thankfully, that thinking has changed over the years.

Agreed. Also people have to remember that this whole voice actor thing was very very new. Mel blanc was the first Voice actor to get a credit. And was absolutely unheard of. So it makes sense that Disney wouldn’t think of voice actors in the same way we would think of now.

He definitely knew what he was doing. My toddler daughter has just been introduced to classic Disney princess songs and she absolutely adores them, it’s like kid krack. But I’m a good mommy and she doesn’t watch tv yet.
