Dominions 6 Nidavangr - Sacred unit Nidbathed is broken

I went up against a random Impossible AI with the intent of not really playing like normal. Instead, I would just recruit the Nidbathed to show how unfairly powerful they are. I do not use mage support or research in any meaningful way. I didn't build anything. I recruited only the sacred Nidbathed and Nidhere to lead them.
The pretender was just a Frost Father for a Quickness bless (and heroism x1 because I had a bless point left over). I think my scales were mostly lousy, but it didn't even matter. I was able to recruit 7 Nidbathed a turn, when not recruiting the Nidhere.
My armies were comprised solely of quickened Nidbathed. I won multiple battles where I was brutally outnumbered including a 5 to 1, 6 to 1, and even an 8 to 1; all with minimal losses.
These Nidbathed just put up with everything. They should probably be nerfed.

This is an awesome build, thanks for the share. I don't think they need a nerf tho. There's bunch of broken bless builds out there and I'm okay with this faceroll stuff being there since you can counter it eventually as a player. AI stands no chance though. That being said I would hate for a first war being these guys rushing you.
There seems to be a misunderstanding here ! You say you are taking "no loss" but that not true ! Just because they don't DIE in a battle doesn't mean you didn't get a loss ! If the dude lost all his scar soul and is cripple and worst lost and arm so he is fighting with only his fist can you really says he is still alive and useful ? You not doing any research mean that against a player a single battlefield wipe would be fatal since you have no counter. Charm would also just be game over ! Also you are fighting against AI doing silly goose thing like massing indie troop and the best one for you at that : mass chaff and low attack density non sacred giant ! Saying you are overnumbered there is like saying you would not be able to expend because indie has way more troop than you ! When you look at the fight and remove useless unit and even count "might do SOMETHING" unit you end up with fight that are always at your advantage ! If you think nidavangr is op i recommend playing Yomi and watch a single dude face hundreds of enemy without breaking a sweat ^^ Or playing andromania and do a 40 province expansion in multiplayer meaning that you don't even need a first war and you can 2v1 anybody. And lastly keep in mind that dominion 5 in multiplayer is a diplomacy game . You might be able to defeat an single AI after 48+ turn but in a multiplayer game killing your first opponent around turn 36 is a requirement to even have a chance at victory. Love to see the content but you are FAR from exposing any unbalance ! Keep it up :)

My point was moreso that you shouldn't be able to do this with any single unit. I did mention in the video that I wasn't playing the game as intended: as you said, no research, etc. Thank you for the insight, though!

@@Golbeeze Have you tried Yomi dai oni ? or bloodbound regen muspelheim giant ? Or even just ubar ifrit warrior ? Or vanjarl defense stacking ? Did you take a look at the Raktapa : he can research he can blood hunt he can reanimate for 110 gold 44 gold ayear ? MA marignon knight of the calice recruit anywhere sacred cavalery ? Dominion is a game of "Oh damn they can do WHAT ?" followed by "oh so i need to do that and it's not a problem then"

Can't you just heal their wounds with healers or a recoup bless? Just my 2 cents :)

@@TTHJJD100 You could but healer is one of the rarest "mundane" (as the effect is not that crazy) trait and recuperation bless is way to expensive to really take. It also doesn't resolve the main issue : you lost scar soul and that can't be recovered
