*Respect to Reyes for giving so much love and respect to Jiri.*
It’s interesting hearing him speak about the Jiri fight like that. I watched it recently and felt as though I was truly watching modern day warriors just doing something they felt a calling to do in there. Like if these dudes lived back in the day they’d be clad in armor with so much purpose. I like Reyes and hope he finds his way once again.

Dude for real! It’s so interesting because Dom seems so chill and “normal” like a high school buddy, but then you watch the Jiri fight and it’s like you see the depths he’s willing to go to in war- I’m amazed. Whereas Jiri kinda seems to be on that war vibe more so as default.
Good to see Dom healthy. I’m glad he acknowledged the Jon Jones loss, I feel like that’s been stuck with him since 2020.

no he still hasn't acknowleged the jon jones loss......he still feels he beat jon jones.....and ariel keeps telling him that he won that fight............i say that reyes has to truly realize and accept that he lost the fight against jones......and other people need to accept that too and stop feeding him their beliefs.....the pure and raw fact is reyes did not do enough to win the fight....perhaps by a knockout or submission that would have done it.........but his mistake was he left it in the hands of the judges furthermore he did that when fighting a longstanding champion.......this is what reyes needs to realize if he truly wants to move on...

@@donovans6472 He didnt make a mistake. That was hes best ever performance. He tried to finish it but he just gassed and still did well to deny Jones takedowns in the later rounds. That whole thing of to beat the champ you gotta really beat the champ is total fkn BS there is no such rule and there shouldnt be.Two men fight and if it goes the distance it must be equal no matter who came in with the belt ,its in the pot now.No way Jones won any of the first 3 rounds i have rewatched it a couple of times and it was a blatant robbery.

It was a robbery one judge had it 4-1 if anybody believes the scoring was correct explain what 4 rounds Jon won
Glad to see he's in a good place mentally. He fought a bunch of killers and always held his ground. What a career so far
Love the way he explains how jiri fights, because jiri studies these methods he talks about such as never giving the opponent a second to gather themselves or rest once he gets going, constant pressure dictated at his pace. He will ignore catching a break to continue the pressure. His mental strength is something else
Based off the way he was breaking down and explaining Jiri's style, I wonder if Reyes will transition to coaching after he's done fighting. He'd probably be good at it. Glad he took the time to heal up and get right.
This was such a great interview by Dominick.
Dom is back, I love and have missed this man
Que bueno ve a Dom Otra vez. Lo seguimos y queremos mucho en México 🇲🇽
Man how can u not love this guy. So humble and respectful, needs a win in his nect go, however.
Respect to this man to be honest about his road back to the title. An being safe about it. Alot of people ruin their careers over certain moments that do or don't go their way. He is a talent that took the time to access the situation then make the best moves possible. Welcome back Reyes looking forward to see your Bad Ass being Bad Ass in the Octagon

I want/know this man will bounce back and win a championship. Dominic Reyes, if you see this, we are rooting for you!
His 3 only career losses are to ufc champions. Taking a long lay off after 3 wars right after the other with no break over 15 months was to much. He might come back like Calvin Kattar and have a huge next performance.

That's extremely misleading. The 205 champs since Jon left are usually not even top 5 contenders. This is a historic all time low for LHW. Wait about 3-5 years and the weight class will be good again.

My well wishes to Dominick. Supreme fighter and seemingly, quite a cool dude!

I'm sure oezdamir would love that....that was a fight that went the distance and the judges gave it to Reyes.....I think oezdamir won and others including oezdamir himself thought so too....anyways I think that would be a good match......I don't think Dana white wants Reyes to lose his next match.... That would be four losses in a row........but in the light heavyweight division I don't see anyone holding the belt for too long....as you could see for yourself it keeps switching hands.... I wouldn't be surprised if Reyes gets a title shot after maybe just one win and maybe even win the title.... But he's got to focus on finishing the fight not going the distance if he's fighting for the belt again
Honestly can’t wait for his next fight, he’s only lost to champions or future champs he’s still at the top of the light heavyweight division
Still top 5 in LHW
Great insight from Dom....I thought he edged out Jones by a small margin too. I do think the fights got closer and closer so he left to the least competitive div so he wouldnt get shadow realmed by Jan.
I like how much respect for Jiri Dom has

Reyes won that fight and I'm really glad to see him in a good state. I was afraid he wouldn't be the same because that would just be really frustrating to deal with (the last 3 fights). Good to see Dom back. He has a vicious left hand
I didn't like Dom's persona leading up to Jon and Jan, but Jiri must've really sparked something in him. He sounds like more of a martial artist in a traditional sense.
he did not get robbed against Jones he won the first two round but from the third round he was running around especially on the fourth round Jones controlled the cage and had more output he was trying to engage and was def pushing the pace if the fight lasted longer Jones would def finish him
I think Dom was so focused on Jon and trained specifically to beat Jon that’s when he went against Jan he wasn’t truly prepared and as he said mentally he wanted the Jones rematch he’s still young we have a new fresh champion the division is getting exciting again
I love Dom
Dom seems like a great guy
It cracks me up the totally American way he pronounces their names - Jiri, Jan, Glover

Magomed, Anthony, Thiago, Paul. All great non-J names for Dom’s next fight
Reyes vs Glover is the fight to make
Dom is a real one. Forever a fan of the former champ!
I'ma root for this guy no matter what
did anyone notice that out of reyes, santos and anthony smith only one of three is doing well and seems in full control of himself....that person is anthony smith.....also notice he is the only one who hasn't complained about his loss......also that he could have been the champ if he had accepted the disqualification stoppage...the key here is accept your loss and don't complain.......learn from the loss and reset..
I missed this Reyes hopefully he put all of the outside stuff behind him and just got back to his roots… I never understand the changing everything up he fought the best 205 of all time in jj and could say he won no reason to change thus and that if it’s not broke don’t fix it
In the JJ fight I think Reyes felt an exhaustion that he never wants to feel again which is why he didnt push hard in the opening round in the Jan fight and got hurt badly and KO'ed
He didn’t get robbed against Jon jones.. and he got KO’d his next two fights. He had some bright moments against Jon, but those two KOs humbled him BAD
It’s great to see Reyes. He comes to mind when LHW division comes up and it’s great to see him. Seems like everyone thought he beat Jon, and he may have, which is terrible that he didn’t get the belt if so. Then he went and took two bad losses. It was a really rough beat man. Glad he seems well. Hopefully he knows he’s one of the best.
