Yes. It's just unusual because most women in Western countries get involved in the sex industry are between 18 and 22. My guess is that many times they don't think about the negative consequences and they're easier to manipulate by predatory people in the business. I think it's better to be a little older where you can better understand boundaries and deal with any negative consequences.

I agree. I know a significant amount of DV counsellors and support workers. They call the relationship in that book, abuse. In BDSM, there is supposed to be mutual respect, outside the role playing. And the role playing is consensual. And consent can only be given if fully informed and understood. The ill treatment and manipulation without understood boundaries is horrible. So disrespectful. I think it's sad that a lot of women (and it was mostly women who enjoyed the book and movie) feel so insecure in their sexuality, they bought that titillating, abusive story as if it was real. The movie 9 and 1/2 Weeks was closer to reality, although again, an abusive, manipulative, non-consensual relationship. I had a similar, occasional-relationship as was portrayed in 9 and 1/2 Weeks, but not as intense as, or manipulative like that. He really got off on my pleasure. And it was fun. Ultimately he made me feel good about myself. Not abused. And I have been victim of DV, and have helped friends escape DV, more than once in my life. So I know the difference. 50 shades was a farce and could have led vulnerable people , who wanted to expand their sexuality, into abusive relationships.

Wow, did I enjoy this interview. I enjoyed how respectful the interviewer was and still asked very personal questions in a kind of not intrusive way? When Eva Oh muses about why women write to her asking about the career and what reasons people might have for going this path - she mentions the strength. That's spot on. To feel this powerful. This in control. To be trusted that much. I used to be in clubs as a 19-22 y/o know-nothing person 'playing' a dominatrix. But it DID give me true pleasure and I enjoyed every second of it, even if I was pretty naive and did not know a lot about what I was doing. I didn't do anything that would potentially be dangerous. But I did have a problem with separating myself from this. I lived a fantasy. I was a different person outside of the club. I could not take this strength with me. I probably had it in me, but was so used to my everyday much more introverted role, that I shyed away from it. I sometimes cringe when I think back about how little i did know. But I know that my feelings were real. This interview brought back all these memories. What I also find fascinating: Like many people from that scene, I am deeply pacifistic. I dislike all kinds of violence - even loud voices. But it's entirely different if its about the dynamic and everything happens with consent.

This is fantastic and fascinating! I myself am a mental health specialist and a previous dominatrix. I find this combination to be extremely helpful in being able to understand someone on a deeper level. My favorite thing was to understand WHY someone liked what they liked, or where is started. Human behavior is remarkable and it's odd how so few people actually take the time to understand themselves. If you ask 100 people, "what do you enjoy sensually and sexually" many people have no idea how to answer. Being a Dom and in the mental health field was a profoundly helpful combination to help people dive deeper, get their real needs met and learn about their own mind more. Such a unique experience in life! Thank you for making this video ❤

He's on board with all of it but I'm still shy talking about it. Hopefully, that'll get better. My real issue is, I don't know what feels good. I know I should try out different techniques but if I do that it mostly doesn't feel amazing so that I lose interest very quickly and just stop completely. I also cannot help my boyfriend find the right technique or spot because I don't really know it myself. I use vibrators, mostly womanizers. Sometimes, I can just use my hands. But I never get this WOW feeling people talk about. Sometimes it feels like I am just completely numbed compared to other people. I have no trauma. I don't really have much shame around sexuality. It's just my body doesn't really respond to normal sexual touched except for vibrators.

Also with a sense of honesty and compassion for sex and the human relationship with it. Great interviewee that certainly understands her responsibility in her role as a dominatrix. Why does the interviewer have “dignity” in your mind? Do you mean he is respectful of the dignity of a sex worker? I’m so confused. But it seems a little bit like you are applauding him for not being a disrespectful or incompetent interviewer and you are “blown away by the man.” He isn’t doing anything that incredible I would say being able to ask questions in a respectful manner is about the bare minimum. I adore how she's so unbothered with mainstream shit happening all over. And because she wasn't on social media before, she's pretty 'pure' in her though process so to say.

Same! Interested to listen to her podcasts now. I love listening and interacting with intelligent and pisitive, also confident and with a scent of power, but not in a bullying way, people. And she is definitely a great representation of all of the above and more! So glad I accidentally came across this video! Very therapeutic, intriguing, and entertaining conversation. Enjoyed both of their vibes! Bravo 👏

This man is completely enamored and fascinated with her, and the answers to her questions! I love her extensive vocabulary, she uses a lot of words that are not common in day to day conversation.. I love her femme fatale energy. She's very feminine, yet strong, and powerful. I love that combo. I can tell that she kept things she shared as it pertains to what she does in her sessions very tame, but that she has probably tested all sorts of limits that would be full hard stops for most. I would have liked more details about the psychological aspect, as far as are her skills innate, or developed over time as she experienced more on the job. She's sophisticated, and edgy at the same time. She would be 2-3 handfuls for the interviewer...he def seemed like he wanted to have a session with her, but realized that $1,000 an hour is out of his price range! LOL Very good interview.

I've known a few professional doms. Cis and trans women. I've found a sense of humour and a noticeable kind streak in all of them. I tried it, but I just couldn't do it. It's too removed from my personality. But I know for many it's very cathartic. I was ok at it, when I did phone sex, but to be honest, I found it humourous, and that's soley because I'm so uncomfortable power playing. So I am just not right for the job of dominatrix, where you deal with people who deliberately put themselves in very vulnerable positions, physically and emotionally. I was happier doing pretty vanilla stuff in sex work. Occasionally, especially doing phone sex work, it ended up in a counselling session. I stopped one guy from literally crushing his balls so he could have them removed. That was memorable. People don't know how much emotional comfort you can end up giving as a sex worker. Sometimes it's from the heart, especially with widowers etc... sometimes just because you're getting paid. The client usually knows on a deeper level if there is any sincerity there. Some people just want a connection with another person with no judgement, and a happy ending. Whether that's a physical or emotional happy ending, because some people are not capable of physical happy ending. . It's "more fun" than seeing a counsellor, but it's usually not an appropriate substitute for a professional counsellor or psychologist. Why not see both? I think the best sex worker is a "people person". There's a lady in our building who is not good looking and very badly groomed, but she's nice. She's very pleasant to talk to and she has A LOT of clients. I couldn't go back to it, but I don't regret doing it.

@@pinut18724 years as a Domme and I don’t see her as “Top tier” at all. She charges a lot. This doesn’t necessarily make her top tier in terms of her skills and what she provides in reality. Listening to her, I think she’s gotten away with charging as much as she does greatly due to her looks, the fact that she is the ethnicity she is which is GREATLY fetishized, she’s a shrewd businesswoman. But I dare say- bring a sub in a blindfold and have that sub experience a session with her, and then let me have them. Let’s see what they have to say. I’ve got at least 14 years on her. Many thousands more face to face sessions. I also specialized in couples which she doesn’t mention. It’s even more complex than individuals. I never worked at a commercial dungeon, I didn’t learn from providers, I learned from the clients themselves. I charge a small fraction of what she charges ($800 for two hours, often less because I don’t want to exclude people who can’t afford more than $500 a session). 9 hour or longer sessions are great. I love money too, but I love being trusted as a guide and facilitator even more. It shouldn’t be just for filthy rich people. She’s interesting, she’s definitely got skills, but top tier shouldn’t be based on the cost of such a personal and possibly life changing SERVICE. The experiences I’ve had the great honor of facilitating have been priceless. To have been trusted to be given access to people in their most vulnerable exposed states- even to the point of having such control that their lives are literally in your hands for that moment- it’s no small thing.
