And it's the embroidery only! 😂
Her outfit alone is a work of art. I adore the expression you gave her, she looks cunning but serene.
As someone who adores micro crafts myself (needlepoint, cross stich, crochet etc) I am simply blown away at how beautiful your work is. Thank you for sharing your creations with me.

Thank you too, for watching and supporting my work! 🥰
You described Yuki-onna perfectly, beautiful, but dangerous. She is absolutely breathtaking, enchanting, ethereal and magical! I adore her! ❤❤
She turned out to be such a perfect little lady! Her side glancing eyes are gorgeous, and add just a touch of mystery! Her kimono turned out absolutely phenomenal and I can't believe how perfect the embroidery turned out! Her teeny little tabi with her teeny little geta might be my favorite part though! I'm a huge sucker for mini things, and the tabi and geta just turned out so absolutely smol! Thank you for sharing Fuyumi with us!

I appreciate the kind words! I'm a huge fan of miniature art myself 😁
The face, the bead work and the komono; just everything is amazing. watching the end of the komono get cut was WAY painful, so happy it worked out in the end!
Absolutely precise! This is how I also see winter: it is purely white, calm and with black contrasts of wood and shades of the objects around. Super! 💗
Watching your videos is always a delight as a costumer, the knowledge of how these garments are actually made at human scale is always evident in the way you design clothing for your dolls. It's hard to quantify satisfaction of the feeling, but in the end it really does feel like you are dressing this character as a person who needs to wear things, as opposed to dressing up a doll.

The amount of work that went into this project is staggering! The doll is stunning, the kimonos are stunning, your attention to detail is humbling. I’m in awe of each and everyone of your work. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Everything about her is lovely, of course, but I just can't get enough of the face - she looks stunning! I can't imagine a better face for her.
OMG so excited. Gonna watch now ❤ She is stunning. The kimono is exquisite and it broke my heart when you cut the back off, but it was the right call. Thank you for this, I love it!

All the work you put into her definitely paid off. She’s gorgeous. My favourite part is the beading in the sleeve of her inner kimono. The way the fabric puckers reminds me of snowy footprints.
her eyes are so capitivating i love how you give life to each doll you create
Exquisite. Exactly what she's supposed to represent!
I’m so happy the yuki onna’s finally here!
One thing about me I’m obsessed with mythos and folklore. One of my favorites is yuki onna and you did an amazing job creating her.

Yuki-Onna looks very beautiful to be scary.
The dedication you put into her outfit is so admirable!! Instead of just covering the purple paint with black paint you chose to not only cut it off, but to start all over again?!? Literally stunning-

I really love the dolls you make, and also love how I learn tips and tricks from your videos. I watch a lot of doll customizing videos but feel like I learn the most useful tips from yours, like heat sealing raw (plastic) fabric edges with a lighter, and hiding seam allowances with lace. Those tips are so helpful!

I know I say this ever time for every video, but your sewing skills are just so frikkin' impressive. She looks so awesome--although I personally would've gone for those mirror-like jet-black eyes some Asians have, because I find they can be more disconcerting than blue. I love this series of onna.

There's no such thing as too many compliments 😂 thank you so much! I made her eyes blue/gray, because it looks more like ice. But i like the idea with black eyes as well.
Your artistic talents are off the charts! There's painting, sculpting, woodworking, embroidery, beading, hair styling, and makeup, all for one beautiful and ethereal doll. I love to watch you work!
I LOVE your doll repaints and this series of Japanese yokai is so right up my alley! I dont do anything doll related so i live vicariously through your videos and really admire your craft and skill set! Kimonos are meant to be made of a thicker fabric than yukatas since they are meant to be warmer so I think the fact that the organza didn't work out was a blessing in disguise. also, watching you cut off the skirt was so painful to witness, but i think it was the right decision as well. The pale purple flower petals look fine but the dark purple was indeed clashing with the rest of the design! amazing work!
Omg the level of detail!!! I love this so much! Your patience is amazing
Kimono is soooo cool. The intricate detailing. Love it 💖💖💖. Also, when we have to iron a fabric that can be burned quickly, we put a handkerchief on the cloth and iron on top of it. That'll help to protect sensitive clothes. Try it with a scrap piece. It doesn't need to be a handkerchief. U can use a similar material. 😉

She is beautiful. Her outfit is stunning, such a work of art.
I love this doll and the story!! I remember first hearing of it in the movie "Kwaidan"
she's so pretty!!! I love how you used color, with almost everything being black and white/grayscale except for her eyes and lips, which really pop!!!
I love watching you sew. Many of the artist I watch from eastern countries only hand sew, and its wonderful. The tiny perfect stitches are so pretty! Such a talent.

I feel you so hard when it comes to throwing out a ton work because something didn’t work out. I made my daughter a dress for ren faire in 32 hours straight. No sleep. I had to completely rip out the finished skirt at one point and it freaking killed me. But it was the right thing to do. Just like it was here. The kimono is beautiful. 💕

Stunning, she's a work of art.❤
I love her! The tale of the Yuki onna has a special place in my heart. it was my first Japanese ghost story told to me as a kid. You really did a great job capturing her image! I love every bit of this planned process. The detail in her kimono is extremely beautiful. Everything you did really captured the essence of the Yuki onna
@DollAfterlife
9 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! When I just started learning about Japanese folklore, yuki onna was my favorite yokai as well. And she is still one of my favorites 😁
If you go with the alternate interpretation that the Yuki Onna is the ghost of a woman who died in the snow, the "two different kimonos and one is half off" has another, much sadder meaning. When someone succumbs to the effects of severe hypothermia (as in, so cold it will kill in hours if you're lucky), they can suddenly begin to mistake the extreme cold for intense heat and begin removing their clothing in a phenomenon known as "Paradoxical Undressing." If she was a ghost, then one of her kimonos hanging partially removed would mean she froze to death incredibly quickly, before she could even shed her outermost layers. How cold must she have been to freeze so suddenly?
@DollAfterlife

It explains why she says "Snow is warm, ice is hot" in the movie!
Oh my gosh I love her. I think sometimes a simpler face can actually be a lot harder but you absolutely nailed it.
The beadwork is phenomenal! What a beautiful doll!!!
Beautiful embroidery
Holy ice crystals! When I clicked on this video I wasn’t expecting to find what I’ve found. What an absolutely amazing artist you are! Watching you work made me really happy just now. Simply amazing! When you said that you are about to cut off the skirt I was shocked but I also understand. Whenever I work on a project, I will always create a little sacrificial peace on the side where I can try out my ideas to see what works, how materials behave and to get a tiny bit of practice, before committing on the actual model. Maybe that way you could have realized that adding colors isn‘t something you‘re going to like.
