What is wrong with most of you? I saw Dokken back in 1987. They opened for Aerosmith. It was one of the best shows I ever saw. Now, in case you all aren't aware, Don has battled a few medical issues over the years, that affected his vocal chords. He also had cancer. Now, 40 plus years later, even without medical issues, I don't think he'd still have the range from the 80s. Personally, this version isn't bad. The intro was a bit cheesy, but Don held it pretty well, and Lynch's solo was perfect. Did you ever hear about just playing because you love the craft? Sure, Don can't hold a high note anymore. But he sounds ok. Lynch sounds as great as ever. Personally, my favorite band is AC/DC. Brian Johnson can't scream Shoot To Thrill anymore. They adjust the levels so that the pitch is lower. And if they can get out on tour again, I'll definitely go see them, And Dokken too!!! Less bitching and let's love the music. Bless you all.

The negative comments are hilarious. Everyone gets old, no one stays young. There isn't a singer out there that sounds the same as they did 30 years ago. He sounds pretty good for 55 years old. And this is being recorded on a damn cell phone, so prolly sounds better live. People that will never do anything in their lives are the first to make negative comments about others.

Sebastian Bach kept a pretty good voice for a long time but he also is trained as a opera singer as a kid so he knew how to breathe properly. David Coverdale is pretty good for 70 something. The lead singer of steel panther is in his 50s and is still good. But other than that, lots of drinking and scream singing will kill your voice.

I expect more from my heros.

People beg that our favorite bands get back together and tour then complain and rip up the members when they don’t sound like they did when they were 20-30 years old. Everyone gets old, including Don Dokken and the rest of our 80’s metal hero’s. I think Don, George, Jeff and Mick are doing the best they can to continue to bring the music to the fans. These songs aren’t easy to sing and play and I think they sound pretty good for a group of guys in their 50’s and 60’s. I’ll keep on Rockin’ with Dokken!!!

The beginning of the song sounded like they were warming up.. Those guys were great in the 1980s, it's sad that Don Dokken had to battle cancer, I think in the throat, but you know what, I admire his courage to get up there and sing, yes he doesn't sound anything like he did back in the day, but give him a break, he is in his mid 60s, as are the rest of them, and I'd like to challenge anyone who battled cancer to sing like they did 3 decades ago. George Lynch, Mick Brown and Jeff Pilson did a good job.

There is a video out there when they went to Colorado after this concert and Dons voice was awesome!!!! They did will the sunrise and I literally had goosebumps. For everyone on th George lynch bandwagon, in more than one attempt he has tried to kill this band over Amd over and then try to rejoin. They don’t need him. Don Dokken has lost his voice. For real; not for temporary, but for ever. If you listen to anything from the last 5-10 years, his voice has become very raspy like his vocal cords are damaged. And he can't hit all the high notes anymore. Sad to hear, but that's what it is...

My favorite Dokken song and in the top 3 of my personal most favorite songs of all time... and they botched it. The beginning of the song was confusing and was not needed. Lynch's solo was off as well. He has to get rid of that spongey-type of guitar tone that he's been playing with for a long time now. I'm not a huge fan of ESP Snake/Crossbones guitar and would have preferred watching George play his Kamikaze. GL is still guitar god though.

Yeah Don Dokken survived cancer tho..GL has played great lately n has 3 project cds going and he Makes an sells custom esp guitars. His tone problems is this-- Some company, zoom or one of em made a Georle Lynch signature pedal.2 in fact so far.The presets on it are not nearly as good as some of these new effects pedals.Hes always talked about tone so he needs to lose the signature pedal and a pod line 6 or that new fractal pedal thing. He would sound so badazz if he would just do that.

Dokken is a great band with great songs but just once I'd like to hear the dam solo the way it was recorded instead of the LOOK AT ME shit that he does . Everybody knows you got skill Georgy . No need to turn a great song into a 6 minute shred session to take the spotlight
