Late to this but enjoyed every minute of it. Nick is a very humble and down to earth guy and I wish him all the best. Guy is turning more into Joe Pesci every time I see him and you're just a superstar, Fouad. Love this and look forward to seeing more content in the future. You decision to pull out of the upcoming show is an educated one as health is worth more than standing on a stage. You haven't let anybody down at all. Fouad’s training advice is spot on! Getting maximum efficiency out of his workouts and minimising excessive work and wear and tear. Guy is overtraining for sure but for people like that it’s hard to believe that backing off abit will benefit them. Like Fouad said, choose 3-5 quality movements and stimulate the muscle with proper form and moderate weight and get out of the gym before you start driving yourself into the ground. At my gym we can currently only do 1hr sessions and I’ve noticed I’m more in the zone, more efficient and get a better pump because I’m focusing more on quality not quantity and getting the most out of my 1hr.

I had to stop the podcast and pat myself in the back on the chest + shoulder on the same day argument. I have a ruptured AC on my collarbone and it'd take a lot from me to do chest and shoulders in separate days. Once I incorporated them together I grew much more because I can go heavy on them, one day only, and grow the muscle instead of banging them twice a week half assed. Liked this approached much more and happy to see you guys talking about it. Cheers!

Yo Guy, example of a chest session, if you’re gonna blend em up. Super high incline smith- flat dumbbell press- weighted dips-pec dec/cable fly- seated side lateral- rear delt- single arm tricep rope. As many warm up sets as needed, keeping reps below 6, to feel weight. Then 2 working sets, first, 6-9 reps, then second, 10-15 reps. You would normally have 2/3 rotations, when working like this and always looking to progress weight and/or reps each time you come back to rotation.

Great podcast. Would be great if you could explain in more details the feeder/working/failure set concepts. Keep up the good work and have a great weekend.

You three are awesome, at one point guy says he didn’t want to ruin the podcast over training split differences, believe me, that is not so.... its nice to see there are differences.... it helps, at least, me.. I have never competed nor i had the desire, but, I ALSO, LOVE TO TRAIN... I appreciate you guys, and that you compete.. thank you for this. AWESOME. 👍🏼

As someone who just got clean off of IV heroin three years ago... I can definitely say Guy was withdrawing. I was held up in a grungy hotel for 2 weeks kicking. The worst time of my life. So glad I found bodybuilding 💪🏻

That big training discussion was great!!! I train like Guy as well. But keep hearing less working sets more frequency and intensity may be a better option

Mr. Fouad Abiad, thank you for bringing on nick, and guy. You all touched on some very good points, and I was looking for a place to put my comments in when I felt you were 100% right on! I do use a product called ProbioSlim that has prebiotic fiber for improved digestion, the same for Glutamine Powder, and also L-Cartinine, these all should be used regularly because just like guy said: you want excess flushed from your gut even though all is working good. The only other product I use, and just occasionally is "Alpha Lipoic Acid" this helps with sugar metabolism, and an overall good antioxidant. I'm all natural of course, but at my age 58 I have no reason to use PED's, so with that said: I also found things to help my natural testosterone production, like zinc, and D-Aspartic Acid. In fact my natural test is higher than most people on PED's, my wife does complain about me wanting it all the time, asks me when I'm ready to retire??? HA HA!!! So, really I have no problems their, and as long as my test stays up, then I'm a happy camper! However, put all jokes to aside, really I do believe in what you said: If you start PED's when you are younger, and have not reached your genetic potential, then yes you will get more injuries over time. All of the athletes I know use or have used PED's during some point in their life, in fact most tell me I could go further if I used some small amounts, I tell them no thanks! I have nothing against them, but for me, it's what I feel for me that makes me healthy over the long haul is more important. I started bodybuilding or lifting like a bodybuilder when I was 16, I have no injuries at all, I played high school football, I have a 9th degree blackbelt in Karate, and Tai Chi, I've lifted heavy, doing the 8-15 reps, 4 to 9 sets, and yes I still have a 28" waist line, before I was 140 pounds soak and wet, now at 58 I'm right at 199 pounds with the same waist size. I do truly believe gut health is very important, have you ever heard that your gut is a brain??? It truly is because it communicates, and regulates so many things, so removing excess is very important. Oh! by the way.....I'm one of those guys always felt that I was not good enough to compete on a bodybuilding stage? may-be if I tried, I'm might have done OK????
