Hahahaha I couldn't let the puzzle defeat me 😂😜 No but in all honesty - I only kept going because I knew it's possible to finish it. If the cut was bad or if I was having misfits, I would have easily given up on it 😅🤷🏻‍♀️

No use in frustrating yourself. Keep it in pieces you can easily assemble and maybe one day you'll feel like conquering it. I just finished a puzzle that I've had since I was a kid. I've started and stopped it so many times but I finally finished it. Now I'm never doing it again 😂

I think so too! I did keep it together but stored it far away from my sight so I don't have to think about it until I'm ready to open it again 😂 Wow that's dedication! Must feel so good now that it's finally complete 🤩

I"m impressed you started the puzzle and REALLY impressed you kept going after you knocked over a couple of the boards!!! You did more than I ever would.

I genuinely thought the puzzle is gonna be easy when I bought it but I was obviously wrong 😂 Thank you! It definitely wasn't easy 😅

BetterCo has a puzzle of a bookshelf that almost broke me. I took several weeks of breaks between sessions because I hated it that much. I made it through but I wish now I’d stopped early on when I realized it wasnt fun. Don’t be sad-life is too short for puzzles that don’t make you happy!

I went to check the puzzle and it looks very difficult! I agree with you - it's no point doing the puzzle anymore if it's not enjoyable 😅 well depends how far from finishing you are 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, just leave it out, assuming you have the room, and do a few pieces every day.

I had a similar experience with a spaghetti puzzle, where all the pieces looked the same. I worked on the edges, got a few pieces together and then put it aside for almost a year. I did other puzzles in between and when I felt like tackling it again, I took it out and maybe spent 30 mins after work each day to see what I could do. I definitely had to sort the pieces. My motivation was to finish the puzzle as it was passed to me from someone who couldn’t finish it but the trick is also to not let it frustrate me and ruin the puzzle experience. You did great with yours as I think my eyes would have gone crazy with that image.

OMG a spaghetti puzzle.. That sounds insane! 😲 I think that's the way with the more difficult puzzles - have it out and just do a few pieces everyday. I have 303 pieces left with this puzzle so I could do 10 pieces a day and finish it in less than a month but you have to have space for that otherwise it will annoy you just from sitting there and wasting your space 😅

I hate when puzzles only have one piece shape! I just don't buy them if I can help it, but if you don't know the brand, of course, you can't know for sure.

I have quit a puzzle before. Gosh, I am about to quit the Renoir 3D puzzle. You did pretty well for such of challenging puzzle.

I have quit a few too! At first, I had a thought like I'm not good enough, and that I should just get on with it, but then I asked myself why am I puzzling. And it is always for fun and to relax. So if the puzzle doesn't check those boxes, I'm ok not putting it together 😅

Well done for persevering as long as you did, that looks like a nightmare! 😖 Solving jigsaw puzzles should definitely be fun so putting away one which isn’t enjoyable is sensible. Otherwise you’ll just end up not wanting to do any more! ☹️ I had a puzzle which was all smarties. I tried twice and both times got to what felt like the exact same place. It lived in my collection for years, taunting me. I finally took it to a charity shop last month accepting that I don’t want to even try again because it just wasn’t fun!

It was haha 😅 Oh dear that sounds bad! I do think that it can be quite mentally exhausting having a puzzle that you don't wanna do and you keep postponing it and it just stays at the back of your mind. In that case it's best to just let it go so you did the right thing 😀👌🏻

This is a bit why I am not too keen on bying used puzzles. Because to my mind I think that puzzles that are not enjoyable quickly are given up for sale used. So buying used puzzle one runs the risk of getting a lot of puzzles that are not very enjoyable to do, unless they are to ones taste that is. I rather prefer to save up a bit of money to purchase a puzzle (or less puzzles) new, and then being able to purchase a puzzle that I am more likely to enjoy doing, than a puzzle that someone else has given up on doing and given up for sale. As for giving up on puzzles, I have not done that yet, though I have taken a big break from a puzzle, or more precisely, giving up on it, and doing the whole puzzle at a later point in time (which I then completed). It was a easier puzzle picture, though the puzzle picture being of a wolf in a large part, resulted in a lot of puzzle pieces being of a fur-texture. And I do not know which is worst, fur-texture, or sky. With the sky at least one has to go by colour gradient, or puzzle piece shape alone. But with fur you have to look at the fur and make sure it interconnects with fur on another puzzle piece. So now I have learned my lesson, that though puzzles of wolves may look very beautiful as a picture, they do not make good puzzle experiences for me.

I do understand that and definitely agree with you! I think that's what happened with that Cheetah puzzle of mine which is absolutely not solvable. But on the other hand I have found some amazing puzzles that have ended up framed and on the wall and the quality was good as well as there weren't any pieces missing. I guess sometimes people find some puzzles from their childhood that they don't have time for anymore and take them to a charity shop for someone else to enjoy 🤷🏻‍♀️ That wolves puzzles does sound hard! I think I'm on your side with the sky - at least you can see slight gradient. Fur is way worse to put together in my opinion 😅

There's always that 1 that gets under your skin

Aww, come on. This one wasn't really THAT difficult. I've done it before too, one of my favorite puzzles :D There are so many colors and piece shapes to work from, people just don't have patience these days!

Oh dear!! That puzzle looks absolutely diabolical!! Great effort - not one that I would attempt. I agree, if you are not enjoying a puzzle, it’s not worth doing. Did you break it up and put away? Or did you store to maybe pull out again some day in the future? 💜🧩 (Nice tan!)
