Yes but not all that valupak has to offer. Some contain corn which is useless as it is a filler. The black bag is a safe bet

He is so informative & you can tell would make for a good Jeopardy contestant. I could just shut up & listen to him say random facts for hours. Also his arms are cut so when homie says yeast is bad for all animals, I believe him (even though I already knew this to be true even though I still eat it😩)

Recommendation please. So do you think it’s best to go grain free when it comes to kibble and why? I feed victor HPP right now and think maybe the caninex would be better choice . Which one would you recommend for 70lb Malinois ? Thank you

In your opinion what is the healthiest dog food? I currently use ValuPak black bag for my 11wk old American Bully. I live in NY and noone in my area sells it. I pay more for shipping than I do for the food itself. Please help if you can. Thanks.

i give my puppy jack russell Orijen puppy, is it to much protein not sure anymore?? got so many different answer , my vet of course wanted to put it on the Purina crap, but still going with Orijen, whats your advise? thank you

Your Jack Russell Terrier wants meat and nothing else. Orijen is the closest you will come to that. Purina is definitely crap as you say. Most vets say ' don't feed too much protein". But ask them how they know what too much protein is. Just like a human, dogs know what they want and will stop eating it when they achieve a nutrient level. You could also feed Acana Puppy/ Junior. It's made by the same people but slightly less expensive but also slightly less meat

Im looking to feed my 2 dogs premium food .They are both amstaffs and are in the 4 and 8 month range what food you recommend the best for them that is healthy and good for muscle growth

How does one check for the farm act discount ? What are the requirements . I looked up the agriculture acts and I’m not seeing the connection . I see a break for farmers. I didn’t see consumers discount

I always feed my gsds victor but ive been thinking of switching over to valupak it is so much cheaper and get more too

How are they doing on the valu pak ? I bought my first bag today ,ive noticed with most other dog foods I've tried, they've had loose stools and act as if they are constantly starving even though I feed them more than recommend. I bought the red bag today

@@elenascott081 im not sure about the red bag i get them the black bag if i buy valu pak its better than most cheap dog food but its not as good as victor ive noticed but price wise its better but ive noticed with victor the dogs coats look a bit better i think, valu pak is decent but they may be having loose stools because if you switch over immediately that can happen, if i do it i like to mix it untill they get used to it, that may be the issue your having but if they continue to have stools like that id switch but ease into it

I’d suggest a lower protein for your bullies. I have bullies too. The lower protein is much better for them in the long run especially puppies. I suggest watching Rual of QBN kennels. Ton of great info on his KZread

So my pitbull has pretty bad allergies. Hotspots and licks his paws raw. The two veterinarians I’ve taken him to were no help at all. One wanted me to pay 450$ for an allergy test, and they both sent me home with a medicated shampoo and prednisone. I feed him Purina One Lamb and Rice but it doesn’t say there’s any yeast in the food. Any ideas what could be causing this? He was on Purina One Chicken and Rice but I switched him over to see if maybe he had a chicken allergy but it actually got worse. He wasn’t licking his paws raw until switching him to lamb.

I have French bulldogs and this kinda happened to me and I thought it was the chicken as well but on my case it was the rice any thing that has rice my dogs would start liking and chewing there paws and scratching everywhere

sportdog dogfood is the best period.

A lot of people use the hi pro especially in the bully game. It is a proven feed. I personally think it has too much protein. I’d suggest the red bag of victor or valu pak 24/20

How many Wolves, dogs, coyotes or cats do you see stalking and wrestling sorghum plants to the ground so they can eat them? The answer is zero. Dogs, Cats, coyotes, wolves etc. are carnivores that is a fact. They are not like cows, sheep, horses, or even humans that come equipped with molars for grinding and crushing. Dogs have sharp pointed fangs for killing ripping and tearing meat. There are instances in the wild when a wolf, coyote etc will have to ingest grain. For instance, a wolf kills a rabbit that had just been eating in a rice field. This would be OK, and this is also why lions tigers, wolves etc eat the stomach first, they have to borrow the rabbits bacteria contained within the rabbits stomach and intestines in order to digest that rice. however, this is only a temporary loan from the rabbit, the bacteria borrowed from the rabbit will not grow or stick around in the wolves stomach since it does not recognize the wolves DNA. Generally speaking or otherwise (wolves, coyotes, dogs etc.)they cannot digest that grain at all without borrowing the rabbits bacteria. This would be the same bacteria that the rabbit comes with naturally and uses on a daily basis to digest grasses grains etc. this is why also, people that feed dog foods with flour report that their dog or cat has large amounts of feces. Because the flour is wasted, the dog cannot utilize any nutrients from it without the borrowed bacteria. You can watch any National Geographic video of wolves, Lions, leopards etc. making a kill, and as soon as their prey has died they eat the stomach first and this is why. as far as the vitamin B1, niacin etc. that you mentioned, this is already contained within a vitamin pack that is added to that food. Which I am guessing the vitamin pack victor uses is most likely from Poland. This is the same argument that Victor and other companies use to hide their greed. They say that yeast is rich in B12 which would be true if you were feeding it to a fire ant. However the side effects of yeast on mammals is horrifying and it’s a shame that these companies become blinded with greed. Zignature dog food told me via phone conversation that they would never allow yeast n their food which is why i supported them for so many years. recently our customers that have been feeding Zignature food have been complaining that their dog is itching scratching and chewing on their feet as well as ear infections. After the third complaint I walked over to the food and noticed they had added selenium yeast. This is because Zignature has had a major decrease in sales recently. Shame one them. It looks like they have also taken a walk to the dignity dumpster.

The Happy Hour Hound I was born into the pet business and I have watched you grow into the monster that it is today. It’s very disheartening to see good people that I’ve known over the years become blinded with greed. I don’t hate them but it is regrettable. Everything I say or post. is fact or known to be true. I don’t hate Victor dog food. It is a great alternative to grocery brand, I wish however that they would not blow trumpets wherever they go. I miss the old Victor dog food that was humble, had humble packaging Without anything misleading on the face of their bags. I know there was an ownership change or something to that effect which is when these things begin to happen. when their sales reps come into the store and try to convince me that their food is just as good as Orijen, Rawz or Open Farm, it is an insult to myself, my employees and our beloved customers for them to think that we ( the educated consumer) would actually believe them. There are other business owners that put their trust in them since they may not know as much as some of us and they have taken advantage of that fact.

This dude is salty on Victor. Its great food. The Sportmix is fine as well. Anything that comes after SALT on a bag is less than 1%.

I know the law for the farm act or the farm bill was just revamped, I don’t know if there has been any changes since then. I haven’t had time to go over the new one. However in the past I know the policy for the tax deductions are on a “we’ll call you don’t call us bases” I was also told that the filing is done for you and all paperwork leaves with the salesman
