19:35 - the other option, aside from the gear wear and tear in the rack itself, is actually the U-joint of the steering shaft itself. Yes, the single u-joint of e-46 suffers from this as well. Xi drive has a double u-joint which is more common, but the rear drivers like me which have a single u-joint in the steering shaft can still get the exact same problem. Replacing the guibo you show in this video made a BIG difference for me, but it's not gone. I'm going all the way down this rabbit hole before I am forced to replace the rack eventually.......which would be ok too because then I would know I have a legit 100% fresh new steering system and peace of mind :)

Did you also experience steering wheel wobble at highway speeds? My 2009 E83 X3 is experiencing a slight clunk and wheel wobble, so I'm wondering if this might be the issue for me. I should mention that all Suspension components and the inner and outer tie rods have been replaced.

A little late but probably the Rack

Hi! can you tell me if there is any difference, I found in my city only the union of e46 and I would like to know if it is possible to install on the e36, apparently they are identical. thank you so much

Part numbers do not show the same in the parts catalog. So im not sure if they are interchangeable or not.
