Do mine sounds like that and just Lubed that part and seemed to have gotten better but it also makes a grinding noise on retrieve.

You may have gotten one of the ungreased ones. Could try hitting the worm gear (little bar the line guide travels on) with some grease, and oil up all the other usual points. If that doesn't do it, it could be an issue I'm unfamiliar with.

@@AndresSuarez-gm7gw Ugh, sorry to hear it. I'd bring it into a local shop and see what they think. That or raise an unholy stink with 13 until they send ya a new one.

Do all of the 13 Fishing bait casting reels have a tendency of making this squeal sound or just this model? Thank you

There are a few other models from what I understand. I've only ever seen it talked about on the budget ones though. I've also heard some people say their reel came completely unlubricated. It's a mixed bag, but once I got this one dialed in it's been great.

It's holding up pretty well. I got it on sale for $56, and for that price, I'd say it's worth it. Wouldn't pay full retail.
