We do it into the mixer absolutely no mess at all. And because we don't care what mixer drivers think lol

Wash in the mixer and you can go 5 hours or a day before you drop the hopper, need to jet out on a Friday night, you can drop the hopper Monday before your job. So many benefits to water washing, leave ball sucking to a different industry.

I was surprised at how well it actually cleans the pipes. My biggest issue for us and they way we’re setup, is the time it takes to load the hopper full of water.

So if I understood correctly, is the inertia of the falling portions of the boom what gets it clean so that's why you use "A" position and relatively high speed? Do you think it would work with a. Line pump in flat position using hoses?

There’s plenty of guys who water-wash their line-pumps back into the ready mix truck using a “candy-cane” apparatus. I myself am not experienced enough with the method to really comment on it however. Perhaps those more well-versed in the method could chime in???

What I like about the bucket wash is not having to remove my tapers/hose, just suck it back and go. That being said; there’s always that element of uncertainty when not pulling a ball back after sucking back all the water.

Sometimes if I was on a job that I chould not wash out on I whould suck back one soft Ball and go to the concrete plant and wash out my Hopper and put the soft Ball into the back bend then fill the Hopper with water in the mixer wash Bay's and just turn the hose over the side of the pump and pump it and I chould fill the Hopper in about 1 Min because of how Good the water supply is

Can you water wash a line pump? Say it has 150ft of hose still full of crete, can u pump down hopper as much as possible and fill rest with water and pump it out? ( 2.5 inch hose)

There’s plenty of guys that do (usually through a “candy-cane” and back onto the mixer. Because we normally run 2” line around here, the chances of transitions the water through are very slim (almost always plugs at the 3”-2” taper. 2.5” and 3” it works much better, in my experience.

How good whould it work with a Putzmeister Pumi pump because we have one and we chould half fill the mixer drum if we where only pumping concrete and then you whould have Lot's of water because our Pumi pump can carry 6 cubic meter's of concrete and it's a 26 meter boom so Lot's of water if it whould work with it.

  • @canadianconcretepumper1979

It might actually work great seeing as you would essentially be pumping half of your washout right back into the drum.

Hello, watched your waterwash videos 10-20 Times and want to try it my self. But when wash is finished the hopper is full of water.. just thinking out in the blue here. What if you do full procedure ( pump untill water, then 6 strokes back) but then pump forward until it sucks air a couple times then full reverse? My thought is That air slips through deck and First bom like with just Concrete, but after wash its mostly water? Hope you know how i mean! Greetings from sweden!

Once the water comes through the end of the boom, slam her into reverse for 6 strokes, then back into forward for 3 strokes, then back into reverse for a minimum of 10 strokes. I have a couple of water-wash videos which I’ve posted. The best tutorial is the one in which Michael from Western Concrete Pumping gives me the play-by-play as he does it. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z2Zk0Kh7e9HLg7g.html I appreciate you watching the channel my friend 🙏🙏🙏

Funny thing is, I’ve actually been told that the bigger the boom the better it works as there’s a potentially greater volume of water flushing back down from the boom and into/through the deck pipe… it still makes me nervous every time though 😂😂😂
