Thanks for making this video. Been wondering how to clean my own pump truck for a while.
Oh so that is how they clean the pipe....COOL!
My first job when I got out of mechanic school back in 1978 was working for Brown and Root as a heavy equipment mechanic. I was hired at Old Ocean Texas at the Phillips 66 refinery there. I was badge #670 meaning I was hired very early in the expansion they were doing there. Directly across from our shop was the rodbuster yard and the blue hats (concrete guys) had a small office and a crew that worked on nothing but the tools used in that department. Vibrators, floats and all the things you would use for these massive pours in a refinery expansion. The main focus of the crew was the pump trucks. Challenger I believe. I shared my tools with the lead man that did all the maintenance on the trucks. We called what you did running a pig and I watched them do it a few times. I noticed you didn't hang around to see the sponge or pig come out. There was an incident there one day where a man was injured when he released one of the clamps on an elbow after running a pig. There was a blockage and the pipe was pressured up and when he broke it loose it was like a shotgun blast only it wasn't #8 bird shot it was rocks and concrete. He walked away and it could have been way worse, still injured though. I got in on a couple of hose changes inside the drum and roller adjustments and was happy to let that guy use my tools. Better things to do than work on those things. Early on I was told if I was in the service truck and got a call on the radio that a pump truck was down I had to drop everything and go, now. What a fun job right out of school. Those trucks cost mucho dinero$$$$$$

You can do what’s called a water wash also, but if you’re inexperienced, you’ll most likely plug up the pipes by separating the gravel from cement mix
saya suka video anda...good job.. salam dari indonesia..👍👍👍👍

Cool deal.
I still want a box of those hats.
Just curious what is decent weekly gross pay for a 1st year crane operator? I'm looking for new career.
Interesting
i’ve wondered how it was done. So was sponge where it was suppose to be? I’m thinking no since it wasn’t shown.

I've had a sponge last me 4-6 months...
It looks like he just paints the ass of the pump instead of washing it. Looks like someone needs to wash all that (CEMENT) off.
Interesting
