I used alcohol. That doesn't work, Vick's was the best. I don't trust topical solutions, but my doctor told me that because of my meds, I shouldn't take orals meds.

A lot of people swear by it working so that seems to be good evidence in the fact that it is in itself a large study in a way. This is an option for pregnant women who can’t use any other medication.

Vicks works, but it takes a year. I put it on both my feet after I soak my feet first in very warm water, Epson salt, and 1/3c of Hydrogen peroxide. I do this in a plastic tub for 20 or 30 minutes. After I dry my feet off very well, I apply the Vicks and put clean socks on. Also, you must clean your tennis shoes Regularly in the washer with warm water and set them outside to dry in the sun to dry. I rotate my sets of shoes, and put clean socks on every day. Try limiting your sugar intake too. Yeast thrives on sugar:(

It does seem to work if the fungus is not completely out of control. I developed a fungus on my feet and large nail on both feet. My feet are almost completely free of the scaling and the new toenails have almost completely grown out with the right coloring. For this to happen, you need to be diligent about using it liberally twice a day, making sure to also coat the nail bed underneath. You can even sleep with plastic and socks on the feet at night. The process has taken about a year for me but it is just a normal part of my beauty routine so I do not mind!

It needs to be assisted with wash cloth bathing with an antibacterial Soap like DIAL GOLD as a daily regime. So I would agree it does not work by itself and You have to bathe the toes and toe nails with a toothbrush 2 to 3 times daily. I've heard of something called Tiger Balm working better. I've noticed Doctor's rely on Your irresponsibility so they can bill Your insurance. I didn't wake up to this until I remembered My podiatrist told Me to wash My feet every day.

It does work, even after a couple of days there are clear signs that the naiI-I have one infected nail- is returning to normal. I have been wearing flip flops and the nails have been exposed to the sun, so that probably has helped the healing.

Vicks Vaporub took away the yellow color of my toe nails, but they were still just as thick as before, although the toenail that was becoming thick did not get any thicker. I think that Vicks is a prevention measure, not a cure.

For thick toe nails you have to continue to use vicks daily until the nail fully grows out which may take over a year. Thats what ive read on all the cases of bad toe nail fungus.

@@Jared8706 I bought a nail drill after watching some podiatry videos on thickened nails. I’ve successfully filed my nails down to a normal thickness for the first time in years. I’m using Vicks daily and the improvement is massive. Still not fit to reveal but so much better than before. The Vicks seems to be working and the filing helps it be absorbed. I wish I’d tried this a couple of years ago.

@Ed Diaz did you file the top of your nails down as much as possible without hurting yourself? I literally filed mine to the nail bed, and since the nail was already semi-detached, I rubbed the medicine deep into the nail morning and night. Look up Meticulous manicurist here on KZread she uses it on her pedicures. That's how I learned about it.
