Aside from those last moments, I thought the goofiness quotient was off the charts whenever Hemsworth was on screen clowning up the joint like a big sillygoose.

@@order42show I did like it - I was mostly just replying to you saying you found yourself missing the goofy streak that runs through the Mad Mel trilogy. I'd get that if you were reviewing Fury Road, but Furiosa has that hugely hammy Hemsworth performance ladled across most of the film. I thought it was well-played tonally by Miller and Hemsworth though, the way they continually emphasize that while Dementus has been able to amass a large crew, his abilities as a leader are not a patch on Immortan Joe's. So the performance is kind of "Flamboyant lunatic leader but without enough convincing charisma to keep his followers in line". And it works just right.

Ah, ok. I still feel like it felt a bit totally different. I do need to see Fury Road again to compare.

@@order42show Honestly, to be honest I'm just happily surprised you dig them given that _from a certain point of view_ they're essentially a combination of your HATED barbarian genre with your HATED Fast & Furious vehicular shenanigans

Well, I mean…it’s just so much fun. And is it weird that this feels infinitely more probable and grounded than any of the F&F movies?

@@order42show I liked the beginning with Master Blaster and the fight in Thunderdome and the end chase but the middle part was a little slow for me. but it was an ok movie.

If I did a fan edit what would get you to review it in a video? Would it need to be a star wars film /show? I have a Indiana jones and the dial of destiny fan edit nearly completed if your interested?

I actually plan on talking about fan-edits as a whole on a future video. I just don’t see myself doing them on a regular basis. Film is so subjective in the first place, and when you start taking things out and moving things around, it becomes even more of a subjective thing.

@@order42showOK, I really enjoyed Dial of Destiny but I knew it wasn't perfect either. So I did a fan edit. I am really happy with how it's turned out. Are you interested in doing a video on it? How can I send it too you?

I’ve gotten to the point that I don’t review everything that’s sent to me - there’s just not enough time with everything else I’ve got going on. If you’re really wanting eyes on your work, my suggestion is to get into those groups that focus on fan-edits, like on the fanedits subreddit group or on the Fanedit.org message boards. I really appreciate that you’d want to share your work with me - I just couldn’t make any promises!

@@order42show OK that's fine. Maybe I could send it too you and if you think it's a good enough fan edit. Than you could do a video on it. If you do a video on it, take your time there's no rush. If you don't want to do a video on it that's fine too.

You could put a video out a month or even 3 months after watching it. I don't mind waiting.
