Nice one Spenc' At 400 shekels, none should leave the showroom without the up down quick shifter, that's a steal.

Ohh Spencer, hooning around as par for course☄️ I didn’t think the Transalp comes standard with adjustable front suspension & a quick shifter. Optional yes, but only for the quick shifter. The 800DE Strom comes standard with both… but you pay for them😉

Thanks mate. Great review. Transalp or CFMoto 800MT for the same cash?

Ohh big call. Hard to go past the Honda for the brand's long-held reputation of dependability, but I could just as easily make a case for the CFMOTO. What do you reckon?

The new mt800 explore has so much kit and now better tyres and traction control, rider modes etc as you know it's the KTM 790 which still gets excellent reviews. I agree that Honda is safe bet with better residuals etc but NO cruise control, no quickshift, no rear radar (!) No centre stand etc It would be good to see a head to head with DE800, Transalp, KTM adventure, Yamaha 700 - best all round bike for the $ 🙏

I personally think the Transalp is the better off-road option especially for smaller/shorter riders. The Suzi is too wide for most smaller riders especially ones new to heavier off-road bikes or older returning riders just my opinion 🤷♂

True offroad? Have you done enduro on rocks, gravel, slippery and/or deep mud, grass, deep sand, rolling stones, gravel, tree trunks, tree roots, 40 cm rock steps, and so on? I do not mean hard or extreme enduro, just the terrain that can ride any correct driver with an offroad bike like a 400 XR. That's genuine OFFroad. No paved or dirt roads but just paths in the wild. With 200 some kilos, short suspensions, a bulky bike? Forget offroad. Let's say dry dirt road not too bad without 25 cm deep potholes that will explode the fork or destroy the rear shock. In fact any dirt road that can take a 2 or 4 wheels drive light truck. And already it's not so bad. They are not made for true offroad, just almost all roads, staying in the easy side. Harder you're gonna suffer with the Transalp, or with any of heavy so called adventure bikes. I've seen too many "exploded guys" with broken heavy bikes in Spain, France or Morocco.

Personally I'm dissapointed I own a 2018 AT. Why did't Honda make a scaled down Africa Twin lighter good suspension lower seat hight. The Honda CBX500 has more going for it I dont think this bike is not going to take on the Yamaha T7 or the Aprillia Tuareg . Sure the Aprilla is $6K more expensive This is just a road bike with some ground clearance

So...did I miss the off road portion of this video?? what I saw was the road to grandma's house...if it cannot handle anything more then a dirt road Honda may need to rethink this as a serious contender against some more capable bikes in the middle weight segment
