Does KETO+Fasting Fight CANCER+Obesity? Big-Pharma Thinks So!

Does keto fight cancer? Does fasting fight obesity? While many of the most famous health gurus have been making fun of the Keto and Intermittent Fasting movements, big-pharma has been taking notes and making pills! There are now several keto-mimicking drugs in development, and several fasting-mimicking drugs in trials. Obviously, big-pharma doesn't waste millions of dollars on research unless they are pretty sure they are on to something.

My husband has had an incurable cancer for 14 years. Many treatments including 3 stem cell transplants. No remission, but stable disease. Quit all treatment 3 years ago and started clean keto (no seed oils, one ingredient natural food). His last PET scan showed no active disease for the first time in 14 years!

I had prostate cancer in 2016. It had even spread into my lower spine, & had grown fingers into my kidneys. It was very advanced. The only thing they could not understand was why my prostate had shrunk back to normal size. I had been studying a ketogenic diet for my daughter to stop her seizures. Six weeks before They found The cancer I had started a ketogenic diet. I knew about how the ketogenic diet and fasting helped combat cancer. I did nothing about the cancer but just stayed eating keto & fasting. In one years time the cancer was gone , I was completely free of it. I have stayed keto ever sense and so has my daughter. The problem is that many people want the quick/easy fix pill and then continue with their unhealthy lifestyle, rather the harder work of feeding their body the nutrition it really needs. I'm healing myself naturally from cancer, having refused chemo and radiotherapy, and use nutrition, exercise, fasting and intermittent fasting. I have now lost 140lbs and one of the 3 tumours disappeared before my mastectomy and after only 5 months of my change in lifestyle. I had immediate DIEP flap reconstruction and my surgeon was amazed at the way I healed and called me a super healer. I won't be taking a pill. I'm nearly 61 and I haven't felt this healthy since I was in my 30's. I don't think popping a pill would have done that for me. I've done this with a lot of research and following your channel and a couple of others I trust, so thank you very much for your content. Oh, and it's 4 years since my diagnosis.

Dr Berry, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2014, and since then I have had 2 stem cell transplants, and become resistant to thalidomide, Velcade, Lenalidomide and Carfilzomib. Becoming resistant to Lenalidomide (a very good modern drug) after only 5 months scared the hell out of me, so I asked myself what I could do to make my body less appealing for the cancer to return to when starting Carfilzomib (another very good modern drug). I started the Keto diet and Intermittent fasting way of life the same week I started Carfilzomib and lasted 40 months before showing signs of becoming resistant. 40 months compared to 5 months - the answer is clear to me, and I will stay on Keto and I.F for the rest of my life and I feel confident that starving the cancer of sugar is what is made the difference.

I’ve been fasting, and doing Keto for two weeks. It was hard in the beginning, but now I feel amazing. I was a sugar addict, carb fiend, and ate lots of processed foods. I’m already down 15lbs, but mentally I feel great. I try to have 0 sugar too. It’s not that bad! Some keto fat desserts are so filling, you can’t eat a lot of it. It’s very satiating. Edit: Thank you for helping others on their journey to a better life!

They all screamed at me there was no way to lower it and I needed a biopsy! FF two years of IF/keto and it was down to 3.0! Sadly, they will fight. They’re trying hard to force everyone to eat a “healthy” diet of inedible filler “foods”, all the fruits and vegetables and grains, especially the corn, the wheat, and oddly underpriced pineapples and bananas, which slaves used to fill empty stomachs. It just won’t do for them if we choose eggs and bacon and butter over corn syrup, sugar, and anti nutrients. The poor have a place, and it’s not at the pig roast. Think about it… If we eat beans, we’re suffering not just with a stomach ache, but also social isolation because our stomach offends others, too. If we eat corn oil and refined flour, we support the farm bills, until we’re too fat and sick to work and pay taxes. And once we cannot work, we have no choice but to accept government assistance, which of course, now requires the assignation of any future income to offset the current handouts… No, no, it will never do, that we should stop eating after dinner and wait until after daylight, possibly as late as after noon, the following day, to break our fast. It will not do that a poor mother should add a half a pound of suet to her children’s fermented oats, or that she feeds them milk toast, or that she sends her boys out trapping and fishing for supper. Nope, there’s much more volume if she visits a food pantry and is given a box of Cheerios and some cans of green beans. Even the welfare “cheese” is a full two pounds! What more can she want? It has modified food starch, corn syrup, reconstituted whey (that’s a milk product, right?) and it has soybean oil, so it’s healthy because there’s no saturated fat… All while she’s told her family would be better off if she let someone else raise her children while she works two jobs to put gasoline in her husband’s gas tank, because she has to have job skills, you know, just in case the financial stress gets to her husband and he leaves her… Sorry. I’m sick and tired of big government. They need to sit down and shut up and listen to the truth. Thank you, sir, for this. It’s true.

It just makes me mad, because it’s all there, in black and white, and red… We’re warned, but, more than that, we can see! Those poor babies that eat all that applesauce and rice cookies, they look pale, and tired, and thin. They’re fussy and sickly. No, sorry. This grandma will give up her yarn to buy real milk and butter and eggs. They have pork rinds, which are so healthy, and they’re cheap, and, the babies love them. There’s no excuse for starving the babies. I’ve been told Jesus ate fish. He also participated in the Passover Seder, which requires lamb, and meet is always served at weddings, and he attended at least one, so, if Jesus ate meat and fish, so should we.

Yes it does. It both fights, and helps prevent Cancer by triggering Mitochondrial Fission which increases your Mitochondria. This increases your cells ability to fight free radicals. Cancer is also a metabolic disease of both the mitochondria, and nucleus. Having more mitochondria better allows the cells to self destruct if the nucleus goes bad.

I’ve lost 70 pounds that I carried for 5 years by eating low carbs, eating slowly so that stomach can have time to secrete “ I’m full hormone” to tell you quit eating and by keeping no snack items, like most people I’m too lazy to go out at night for my snack items. I tried Jenny Craig and nutrisystem and Atkins with zero carbs, not healthy and always gained it back. This time I’ve THROWN AWAY my fat clothes!

Very interesting. Laughing alot in this. I'm sure there will be side effects on the big pharma pills to come.

But... they have pills for the side effects too, you know. (end sarcasm)

Not just that: they'll try to convince you the real thing doesn't work like the pill. They'll come up with BS "studies" to prove it.

Would you please do a video on keratosis pillarís I’ve had its since I was in third grade and I’ve always wished I could do something to help my skin be healthy and free of those bumps. I’m almost thirty now and would like to see my skin finally be smooth again.

"Keto ButtCrack?" Snorted at that one, glad I wasn't eating. My Primary Care Provider is NOT an MD. In some ways this is a problem, as she mostly refers me to specialists who are MDs, shackled to AMA Conventions. The positive side of this is that she has actually done some time in Keto-land and isn't on my aging backside about it. After I dropped my cholesterol from the high end of the "mid ranges" to ONE POINT OVER the "too low" line (this in just over six months), she more or less accepts that I've got my diet in hand. Doesn't wince over my snack of heavy cream and melted butter. She is also finally listening to me when I refer to Rife Frequencies and using them to treat HCV (a 50 year burden after a transfusion) and is willing to run testing on that.

I have to think such a drug will be a great benefit for those who cannot summon the knowledge or the will power to commit to the Keto/IF lifestyle. At least it would be an improvement on the status quo as it currently stands, where the majority swallow bad advice from most other doctors and die prematurely. Thank you Dr. Berry for your part in improving my quality of life with low carb info. I'm 66 now and don't look it or feel it. When I visit my peers in the hospital, nurses and doctors think I'm a son. In my experience of Keto over the last 5 years, it's the next best thing to the fountain of youth. My advice to any viewers on the fence is to establish the Keto habit and get on with the good life. The alternative really sucks.

I wonder how these doctors who deliberately withold information, or dismiss nutritional info because they have had very litte Nutritional knowledge taught to them.
