They gave Cassie a pass when she had surgery on her leg and didn't have the best audition however the next season they were all ready to cut ties with Danielle because she has an injury to her foot. Hmmmmm...

It was a throwaway question. When I competed for the title of Miss Texas, I was asked the same thing because my mom is a former Miss Texas. There’s really only one answer to that question “I’m not doing this because of my mom, I’m forging my own path, I’ve got what it takes and not riding my mom’s coattails, etc.”

I think Judy was honestly nervous for her daughter ... very endearing

I feel liked their standards are very class-based, and extremely sexist. It’s baffling to me that football teams keep players with domestic-violence charges and this girl is shunned for speeding tickets. Plus they needed an excuse to open up a spot for Judy’s daughter.

Celina Killingsworth different teams have different standards. The DCC has probably the highest standards of any sports team in the country. They want the best cheerleaders they can have and won’t settle.

@@clg6373 Whitney was a 4th or 5th year when showed up to a party dressed as Lil Wayne. She got reprimanded and handled the situation with grace. Like when Jenna, Kelli and Judy were talking about to her before she retired.

I think it's mainly that the DCCs aren't supposed to date Cowboys players 🤔 bc if there were a bad breakup or something, things could become publicly messy and unprofessional...unpopular opinion here, but I really don't find the policy that odd...most workplaces discourage "interoffice romances" 🤷‍♀️ however, I do think it's wrong that they don't reprimand the players for that behavior, only the cheerleaders...and they do make them jump through so many hoops for such little pay 😔

That's why Holly resigned before she could be kicked off the team supposedly, she was seeing Ezekiel Elliott and in the contract that the girls sign before going into camp/the first meeting it states they can't be seen with players. Apparently Jenna also got in trouble because she knew Holly and Zeke were dating and she didn't tell Kelly or Judy about it.

@@wellIdiditagain if they don't like the policy, they don't have to choose to become a DCC...they sign the contract on/before the first night of training camp, I believe, & if they aren't ok with the no fraternization policy, then they shouldn't sign & agree to it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Judy as a mom is very sweet

well Cassie was an all star cheerleader for at least 8 years. so maybe it was half and half, she did have the talent but they probably didn’t tear her apart while making decisions like they do all the other girls

I agree. The only year I remember hearing them be standoffish towards her was the year she was in a knee brace and was being way out danced.

Wonder if Kelli’s girls will ever try out? Judy and Shelley B’s daughters both did.

no kellis daughter will never try out. she is a super smart girl. had choices of college even ivy league. it would have been very very bad for her to have tried out. Kelli was so good she is the only girl in history to ever get on the team without having to try out!!! never has anyone had that but her. her daughter would have had nothing but sadness trying to compete with her mom. i respect Kelli so much for moving her in another direction....

There shoulda been more focus on this story with Cassie and her mom it’s so cool to see. The DCC is like a sorority of course they want women like them that can do MORE than just dance. Of course Cassie would make it ...she grew up knowing what to do and what not...y’all would complain if she did or didn’t. Take a quarantine nap if you don’t like it.

Aside from being the head choreographer’s daughter, Judy would’ve started coaching her even before she planned to audition. Cassie was most likely taught how to get around stuff and would eventually make the team. This was i think more than 10 years ago so...

It was a bit dumb to even put the daughter through the interview. She was getting in no matter what

Cassie was one of the weakest dancers in the squad even in her 5th year... she got to dance in the triangle bc of her mom and not bc of her inexistent talent... all of the girls were way ahead of her dancing even Jordan Chanley. And judy has the nerve to called out ladies bc they dont have the DCC look, i mean... have you seen your daughter? :p

True, she was pretty weak. Probably could used more training in the DCC Style but I honestly don't think should have made it her fifth year because she was weaker than her first year due to knee injury.

Whitney shouldn't have made the team. She basically answered no for dating a player based on asking the judges if it wasn't allowed. She had photos of herself that were not appropriate to DCC standards, especially when she dressed up as a black rapper. But she was one of Cassie's bridesmaids so that could explain why she didn't get released from the team....

Judys daughter was going to make the team no matter what. It didn’t matter what happened. The picture? Really? It’s a Halloween costume. She was covered. That can really mess up your chances? That’s crazy. I feel like this is so detrimental to young girls who feel they have to be perfect all the time just to achieve something. And you don’t. Speeding tickets can make you not be a cheerleader? But a animal abuser, domestic violence, and murder and football players can still play. Crazy. They don’t get paid enough for all that shit

These women are ridiculous to be judging these young women in this manner for 7 dollars an hour. What if we looked up old pictures of the judges to see what they did at a bar 75 years ago. This is a power trip imho and the judges daughter should not be able to even audition. This is 100% nepotism.
