@@tinar8828 I think at first it looked more like that but now it's been better since she's probably using more safe curly hair products. When I stopped straitening my hair and started my curly hair journey it was like that but once you get more haircuts and treat it better, it improves.

Maddie came back and KILLED IT! Show group for 5 years, group leader for 3 years (she's the only one that has been group leader for 3 years) and point for 2 years (even though she had to share it. Maddie ROCKS! She earned everything. She came back FIERCE. I'm SO SAD she retired.

Maddie is probably my favorite dcc of all time. She's such a sweet, kind and pure human being. She is also a great, great dancer. And the curls, made her such a cutie. I wish they gave her more credit and screen time.

Right? That hairdresser they use is supposed to be one of “the best.” Naw he’s only the best at the “DCC look.” I feel that hairdressers know hair types better than anyone else. And above all they should go with a style that best suits the girl. Any hairstylist could see that Maddie’s hair is naturally curly, and that it would most likely suit her more

I understand why Maddie didn't make it her first year, but the fact that she came back so strong and ended up becoming one of the best members of the team makes me so happy. Nobody else has as much personality in their dancing as she does.

I think sometimes ppl get irritated when they see someone is beautiful but the choices they make with their hair and brows make them not as pretty as they could be. Idk maybe I'm wrong.

I think it’s cause she has a cute, sweet sort of baby face. She looks super young and not as womanly, yet most of us still see her as beautiful. It’s just not ever going do be vixen or sultry like.

Vanessa Gutierrez I think what they meant was that the black didn’t look good on her, and her eyebrows didn’t suit her face. They weren’t trying to make her feel bad for the way she looked, they just wanted to give her a fighting chance.

Madeline was one of the most mature women they ever had on the team.

Maddie is by far one of the best DCC cheerleaders ever. I’m shocked she did not make it her first year. I’m glad she grew to be the best and one of the group leaders .

The way that guy with the baseball hat described Madeline in the first clip pissed me off! He was so harsh about it. Even Kelly said she wouldn’t have said that.

That’s crazy how she went from getting cut her first year trying out to being the point of the triangle in the main routine. That’s a journey

She went from being scared and unsure to being on the point. They reserve the point for the best one on the team. I just can't help but get the feeling that Melissa Rycroft is being groomed to take over when Kelly and Judy retire. That's a good thing because she understands what being a DCC is about.

She wasnt much in the episodes of her second training camp because she was doing so well. It mostly the struggling girls who get more screentime. Glad they put in the bit about the point of the triangle though, I was so happy for her!

Victoria's journey was more entertaining. Maddie was always so sweet and receptive. Victoria was not so likeable in her first season and was a know-it-all. It makes better viewing to see someone humbled and return a reformed person ( Victoria) rather just than returning as a stronger dancer ( Madeline and most of the other DCC returnees)

I can't believe she's a fifth year vet this year. She's absolutely one of my favorite DCC's of all time.

I'm beyond inspired by Maddie. She has taken every correction and doubt from each judge and proved them wrong!

I’m a bit sad that her video isn’t as long Victorias, but I still love it

@@TheFedoras93 but KaShara's video was a 'best of' video, not of her entire journey. we have no idea where victoria will be in a couple years, i love her as a dancer so she could go really far in the team but she might not even be a group leader or be on show group in a couple years. I wish they would make a longer video about KaShara and I wish they had put more clips of Maddie in this, they went straight from rookie year to fourth year

Love Maddie. I've been watching this since 2006. Theres been some great points but Maddie, kashara and Amy just always bought their personalities instead of just smiling. Miss all 3.

Maddie is a role model. Keep on trying, learn from your mistakes, mature and smile. She is a great person.

Hope she comes back this year and is point throughout the whole piece and also is the pro bowl cheerleader. She deserves both of those things and more love her!! My idol

She has always been one of my favorites! She doesn’t have like what you think of when you think DCC with long straight blonde hair blue eyes. But because of that she stands out so much and she’s an amazing dancer that you can’t help but look at her during a team performance! 💛

Maddie has been one of my favorites since her first audition. Talk about the beautiful butterfly emerging from the cocoon... she's nailed it every year.

I have been so proud of Maddie. She went to “bottom 10” to point of the triangle. She went home that first year and you can see the dedication and hard work she put in to be the best she can be. She didn’t seem like she had a lot of confidence in 2015 but looking at her now she is a completely different dancer and you can see her confidence radiate when she dances. Great job Maddie!! Angela I was just saying that they clearly don’t have many black people on the team. I was talking about hair textures and how its different the Africans Americans to change their hair. But I have noticed the black women on the teams wear wigs or have sew ins.

I danced for my SEC college’s team and I was told my naturally curly hair was “unprofessional”. I had to straighten it everyday to blend with the other girls and it ruined my curl pattern. There were no black girls on dance, but there were a couple on the cheer squad and they always had their hair pressed as well. It’s sad that naturally curly hair is seen as “wild and unprofessional”. That’s just the way God made us.

I have loved Maddie from the beginning. It broke my heart when she didn’t make it the first year. It just shows everyone that she is human!
