It would indeed be naive to think a senate hearing is the bastion of truth but one needs to balance that with some faith in the system - the 3 branches of govt and the process. The idea of senate hearing being discussion or scripted. It isn’t all or nothing. What is the better alternative to this system of govt. If you have the courage to offer that.

Yes, Redfield may, but after listening to him in at least 4 videos over time, I do believe that he is trying his best to answer the questions truthfully and to also warn of the dangers, if strict restrictions are not implemented and enforced now and into the future concerning every aspect of security and strict oversight in all matters pertaining to this type of work and research. Redfield is not being squirrelly like the fraudster was. On a brighter note, I have read where the CDC has admitted that more of the j.abb.ies were sent to red states where excessive outcomes for the worst occurred, sadly. At least some progress is being made in this tragic area. Also in Alberta, Canada, the excessive numbers are staggering, which rose to well over a 3,000+% increase of deaths.

Rand Paul is the perfect example of physicians becoming less scientific over the last 40 to 60 years. Nothing wrong with Rand Paul's ignorance to the practice of science because medical knowledge is so vast now. There is no time and also no need for physicians to learn how to do science because the practice of medicine doesn't require scientific thinking anymore because of the progress of science providing life saving knowledge, the job of a physician is more about making medical decisions based on data from medical laboratories and less so from the skills of physicians to conduct a history and physical exam on patients. Again, this is not a problem. The problem is people assume scientists and physicians are the same. That hasn't been true for many decades now. A physician can't run a laboratory without getting separate scientific research training from their medical training. A hundred years ago, physicians and scientists were getting more similar training. As technology and science progress, medicine requires less scientific physicians. Again nothing wrong with the skillset of physicians today verses 50 to 100 years ago, its just a natural divergence of two fields that naturally got more technical over the years.
