Does being clean make you sick?!

Ғылым және технология

There is a tragic rise in autoimmune disorders where the immune system attacks the body by mistake. Could our "clean" world be the cause?

I grew up in a rural area. as child I knew from TV what allergies were but I never encountered someone with them in the neighborhood or school. now that I am in college (in a city) it's a seems for me that everybody around me has some kind of allergy.

Microbes in the gut is such an interesting topic. Too many people are unaware of their roles in both physical and mental health. If you do a video on it, that'd be great. Apparently in certain countries such as China, antibiotics are given on a regular basis for people who get colds from viral infections, partly because it's the norm. Not only does it contribute to antibiotic resistance, it's can also be detrimental due to the killing of gut microbiota. Maybe that's another topic to touch on in the future.

That's actually one of the videos I'm working on Professor Stick! The gut microbiome is going to change everything we understand about human health and treatment. I mentioned the antibiotic problem in my previous video about the antibiotic crisis, but its key to link it to the gut flora. Thanks!

Keep pumping out videos, develop your own personal style (unique segments, animations, delivery, shots of yourself or the real world, etc.) and you'll find channel growth upon finding your youtube identity.

But since you're talking about the medical world you should try to slow down a bit cause some people might not understand.

I've always had a very good immune system, most likely I'll catch a cold or throat ache but I don't need pills to get better. On the other side my brother is the complete opposite. He almost never gets sick but one time he had fever, an eye infection, vomit all night long and had to stay in bed for like 1 month.

It's a very fine line between the two. Some Ecoli are great, some Ecoli aren't. Ecoli can be good in your intestines, once it gets in your urinary tract, you get burning pee. It's not so easy to differentiate !

I mean saying "Africa" is really broad. It can mean a small village in the Congo or a 5 star resort city in Alexandria. So of course there would be more, its more useful to describe rural vs urban.
