If you're a mopar fan, you've got to check out this 1954 Dodge Royal with a Red Ram Hemi! It's surprisingly straight for a Minnesota car. I'm going to open it up a little bit and throw a glasspack on this thing. It sounds 208% better!

I really love old cars, Im 14 and gonna try to revive my 1940 Studebaker. Also doing a restoration on a vintage Briggs & Stratton motor
A quick story, I drove my Mom and Dads 58 Bel Air in High school, 283, 2 barrel, single exhaust, toooo quiet, so I talked my dad into ordering dual exhaust from JC Whitney, All the pipes, one muffler, stock of course, so we put the whole system on, put 2 glass packs on it, Mom loved the sound, Dad didn't! I did, What a difference it made. Sounded sweet! She finally got rid of it, got a '67 GTO. Wish I still had that one!
"I just want it loud and nasty." Like Fergie's national anthem." 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

WHAT IN TARNATION!!!!! Haven't heard that expression in years!!! Love Vice grip garage.
In 1978 we refit a 1963 Mercury Comet wagon with a v-8 and beefier suspension and drove it from Oklahoma to Alaska and back in 14 days. We put glass packs on it which proved fortunate since they were thick metal and streamlined and there were no flat surfaces at the front to catch on a rock on some of the rougher spots on the Alcan highway, like areas where they were doing road maintenance.
Can you please make a compilation video of all your mannerisms and lingo? It would do really well on here I promise. I know I'd like to see it atleast lol.

Had a 65 Mustang with monster 200 cid. Gave it a tune up it began to stop in midstride and then kablam. I gut said it's the condenser. Mechanic said no way, new condenser? Couldn't find the problem. I put the old cond. back in with nary anymore trouble. It almost bent the muffler in half but it did still work. So much easier than trying to find the bad section of the circuit board

This is great! Love the sound of that sweet old Hemi. Be better with a proper dual 2¼ inch exhaust with H cross over. That really does boost the output of the engine. Good for about 20 hp as well as a good 5mpg once the carburetor is working properly.
Nothing like the sound of red bullets👍

Oooo! Cold beer and a new VGG video, I like Friday! The old Dodge is Sweet!
45 years ago I made a custom dual exhaust for this identical model. Dad had a pipe bendalator in his shop. It was a broke high school buddy of mine so I recyclelerated a whole bunch of scrap pipe. Lots of recycleerated clamps and muffler tape an 2 12.99 Thrush glasspacks and he had an exhaust system. Didn't get that many fix it tickets either.
Only Derek could make 7.5 minutes of struggling with old carbs, hung starters, and junk battries that enjoyable.
You have been showing the dodge some love, no wonder it's hard starting and leaking its good stuff out lol
Now if a guy would just rebuild that carbatooter, it could be greased lightenin'.

The chome trim on cars of this era were so well plated that they kept on shining even when the car they were on rusted into the ground.
Had a '56 Dodge with that same little Hemi engine back in '71. Paid a whole $100 for it! Drove the heck out of it for a couple of years, that old beast was a shade tree delight....it knew it's way to the local parts supply (salvage yard) all by itself! So, keep on wrenching, then!
That sounded great. I love the car because my first car was a 1954 Plymouth Savoy. It only had a straight six but ran great.
