The 2nd gen dodge rams also came with a 6 speed manual transmission. The best transmission dodge has ever come out with in my opinion.

I got a 5 speed manual 1998 that was handed down from my best friend and my firewood partner.. he took his life on the 16th of September, his father in law gifted it to me.. it was not supposed to be like this Dillon.. I love you so much

Sick! Crazy that the diesels have 1000 lb/ft now! With 3 times the towing capactiy. So like these older dodges though.

Yes, its insane to look at performance numbers on modern trucks. These seem measly in comparison but there's still something really cool about these.

Sound deadening material is a godsend and can be applied easily. And fuel economy modifications do in fact exist for these. Just get rid of the God awful 47re transmission in the dadgum thing first. I myself plan to do an allison 1000 swap via CA conversions.

Throw away the factory hitch and get a Draw Tite. Inspect frame for rust at that time. Weak link is the front axel. $350-$1000 to replace. Doable but it’s work I’m not up for. Make sure if you change the front axel that you get the right gear ratio.

Axle mounts are pot metal. 99’, Ram 3500 Dually, V10 (gas), 4x4, newly rebuilt Automatic Trans, ex cab with mini door, 8 foot bed, bed mat, guard rails, stepped camper lid with molded to truck countouring. (Hard to find) back window needs rebuilt to lock. Usable as is. This truck is a real good buy.
