This is the best video on KZread on how to replace a headlight bulb on your dodge dakota.

I watched 3 other videos before I found yours. It was the most helpful. Everyone else showed it being changed from the front and removing the entire assembly to get to the bulb. Your way I think will be a lot less work. Thank you so much.

How do you get out the two little plastic looking screws things that hold the box down

There should be one screw between the marker light and headlight that will give you easy access to 3 bolts to take off headlight assembly both ways are simple

Thank you for this I was dreading having to take the whole damn housing off luckily the only one I need to change was the driver side so I don't have to worry about taking the airbox out

Brother mine is a 95 that my dad gave me, I’ve looked through several videos before I found yours and they were useless. They’re helpful when I replace the covers and all but you helped me 100%. 2 suggestion, get a go pro so we can see everything. One spot I couldn’t see one part putting it back together. Not a complaint but a suggestion. Thanks for showing me and I will be back for more help, I’m not a mechanic but can do something’s but with your tutorials I can do a lot more

Hey I was looking found a gravgrip v2 about 39$ it’s for cars and you can get a extended pole for twenty I think. And so you know and I don’t think you took it that way, I wasn’t trying to be smart I just couldn’t see one part of the video cause you had to lay it down. I fixed my lights and will be back for help

hes complicating stuff,,,,,,,,,, you need a 10 torx, between the headlight and signal light,screw,remove orange signal light housing then you will see 3 10mil.screws holding headlight in, remove them then headlight is out!!!! it took me all of 10 minutes per side,,not hard at all, bulbs are 9007 by the way i replaced with led lights

Useful video. I would have added one little item. People should be aware not to touch the glass portion of the bulb with their bare hands. The bulbs get quite hot, and if you introduce the oils from your skin to the bulb, it can cause the bulbs to burn excessively hot - and significantly reduce the life span of the bulb. Find some appropriate disposable gloves to make life easier.

It's hard fixing your own car when working on so many others lol

DO NOT REMOVE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. Just reach behind the light turn the clip counter clockwise. & Remove the Bulb & replace. it is three steps that’s it. PULL THE PLUG IN OFF THE LIGHT. Remove the Clip & pull the Bulb. No tool required. Just Hands!
