I have no engine light coming on but the code reader gave me po442 and po455.

I changed that and it didn't help. It only sets a code once a week or so. Not sure what else other than a cracked hose, could cause this.

Just wanted to come on here and thank you for your info! I was able to re-locate my Evan detection pump (after watching another video that described it as being in the front drivers side, however it was a different year van as mine), and I was able to get to it decently and got the part replaced! First repair as a 38 year-old man so I’m pretty proud right about now. Lol thanks again!

Thank you for this valuable info. It saved me a lot of time and money as I was able to perform diy replacement without all the usual trial and error on my 2013 Chrysler town and country with P0456 code.

Thanks for the video. Saved me time and money. I did the key turn to get the code, didnt even need the scanner. I thought it might just be the gas cap but it was holding good pressure. I found this video and found the part in stock at O'reillys for $33. Installed it in 10 minutes and went through a drive cycle and the CEL is gone.

Vacuum hose and or tubes are very common also. Codes are only basic directives p0456 small leak in the entire system.

Just swapped this on a dodge dart I really hope this fixes it I vacuum tested the purge solenoid and it seemed to work. Smoked the system and found nothing but I did find dust inside the esim so I really hope this is the issue only time will tell.

not a dodge but this part was replaced on my grand cherokee , both Chrysler products but my p0456 code still came back.back to the shop

Can you tell me if that's the drivers side rear of vehicle towards the back most portion of the gas tank? Do you think this is the saem location and likely diagnosis for a 2012 Town and Country as well? Thanks!

How do we find out if the gas cap has good pressure, or if it's the part you replaced, thanks

I can't get mine out. Does it twist to the left or to the right? Does the tab get pushed away from the pump or toward it? No matter which way I go, I can't get it out, and I don't want to break anything.

Funny story to share: I had a check engine light on and I went to Walmart and bought a $20 OBDII reader. I said P0456 and I googled it around and found out it could be a loose gas cap. I immediately checked my truck's gas cap and found it loose - which I tightened immediately. Now the check engine light is gone.

can you still drive with this issue. i have a 3,5 hour drive north tomorrow. an thats my only car to fit the family in.also the codes i was getting p0457 as well as 455 456. would it still be the same thing to replace

What type of vehicle hoist do you have in this video?

I have a problem with my 2014 Dodge. Grand caravan 3.6 a friend. Put it on a scanner set number 5. Injector was not acting right I. Replaced all 6 injectors and 6 coils swapped out. Spark plugs vehicle will not idle. And check engine light comes on. I've been trying to Google an. Idea of what could be wrong? I can start it up with my foot on a fuel pedal. And if I put it in reversed with the parking brake set, it will stay running but runs rough. It would be appreciated if you had any ideas for me

Not at the moment but I do know that it has the same evap system. Go probability, same problem.

Is this the same for an 2007 dodge caravan??

Next question is this something that is even worth repairing? Like is this going to damage anything else in the vehicle if I just leave it? I live in a state that doesn't do emissions tests.

Very good point! I don’t think it is worth looking at. The only bugging thing is the check engine light on the dashboard😅

That's what I'm trying to figure out too. My 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan just started acting up. Code says evap leak. I'm not sure that's what's causing the stalling and shaking though.

what about a 08 3.3 flex fuel?? once I turn on the vehicle I can smell the ethanol fuel in front of the vehicle. anyone have and idea and point me to a good starting point?

I have a 09 3.3L & had a burning smell in front of the vehicle & it was actually the heater core. I was leaking coolant badly, not sure about your situation.

How do you clear the engine light after you replace that piece? Does the check engine light just go off by itself?

It does. It can take a couple of days or so, depending on how much you drive.

What state are you from? That accent is different I'll guess one close to the Canadian border

Do these make any noise? I have a small evap leak code but my acceleration bogs down at 4th gear and it starts to growl. After I get through 4th everything is normal again.

@@franciscagranillo5225 Not yet. It's something in the exhaust system whether a vacuum leak or a catalytic converter starting to fail. I'm going to try a smoke test using some rubber hose and a cigar.

This didn't fix my P0456 code on my 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan.

$53.00 Canadian…not cheap. Also possible cause of P0441.
