Insane how much Ncuti's costume and variants seem modeled after this. Short hair, mustache, long brown leather coat, trainers, tartan trousers, brightly colored jumper. Color changing TARDIS interior for music montages with the teased 'jukebox'. I wouldn't even be surprised if there's similar banter to this as well.

This skit was startlingly prophetic, really, given that Colin's "regeneration" into Sylvester went almost exactly as this one did (TARDIS gives a sudden lurch, Doctor falls to floor and regenrates out of sight). Funny how Peri seems to have forgotten that she's American.

I just love it when parodies, (which word, might have been a better choice than 'spoof'. Just saying)... when parodies 'predict' future Who. The Curse of Fatal Death had a female Doctor beyond the thirteen incarnations. Lenny Henry's Doctor having primitive electro/mechanical additions to the console. Like Tennant's. A Doctor actively telling a companion to "shut up" is much like Capaldi's... Oh. You viewers out there, thought I was going to compare Lenny with dear Ncuti? Why? I mean they both have great comedic talent...

Lenny's the greatest! I remember when I saw this at a Media/Fantasy/SF convention when I didn't know who Lenny was at the time. I laughed my head off and became a solid fan ever since. RIBITTTT!

Wait so this was recorded in the 80s? But they were so accurate about the year 2010! XD and this is a parody guys its supposed to make fun of the series there are modern spoofs that are similar sometimes better sometimes worse, but this was funny and wasn't all that mean hearted the jokes were not too critical and most of the people who rage over this need to realize that no fandom is perfect and this kind of satire is actually a great way to honor the show

The show was in real danger of being taken off the air in 1985. For a real “treat” look up “Dr. in distress” a, “we are the world”-style song that was made to raise raise awareness of the show’s impending cancellation. It’s so hilariously bad that even its creator has expressed regret over it.

Henry looks the part in his Rupert Bear jumper and trousers and Rutger Hauer leather coat.
