Can't speak for the entire audience obviously, but I enjoyed the Specials quite a bit - loved the finale and really looking forward to the new season.

Tom Baker's impersonation is quite good. Good seeing Colin and Sylvester.

This is hilarious, the guy impersonating Tom Baker is really good with his voice inflections. And it was great seeing Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker and of course K9 (John Leeson).

Missy got blasted on full by John Simms master, just like Capaldi in I think Heaven Sent, so he crawled to the teleporter to reproduce himself and he did that for billions of years to break through the wall, but Missy couldn't do that, and so she perished, and Simm regenerated into Missy and lived her life etc

At least K9 only got one vote, unlike the REAL Doctor Who Weakest Link episode.

I just discovered this and the funniest part is that in the setup to the bit the presenters say the contestants are vying to see who gets to be on the new show and by 2023 every single one of them (including a fake robotic Anne Robinson and Tom Baker who is being played by Jon Culshaw) have actually featured in the new series.

The irony of this parody. So it started out as a parody, Russel T Davies probably got the ideaa from this, to put it in an actual episode (Bad Wolf,) AND THEN they did an actual Doctor Who special on The Weakest Link. Parody > Being in an actual Doctor Who episode > Being an actual Weakest Link episode.

When one says or votes for Doctor, they should be specific in which Doctor. For there are three Doctors here together.

Fun Fact: The Fourth Doctor bares resemblance to the Walls' Sky Ray commercials. It could be Jon Culshaw, known for his Tom Baker impression. This seemed to be the BBC's way of saying "We want a clean slate for the reboot, this is Christopher Eccleston Episode 0" in order to explain the absence of photographable Classic stories in Rose's Who is Doctor Who website.

Statistically speaking, all the monsters were the weakest link, because not only did they get no questions right, but they're all made out of papier-mache and tin foil by someone who watched far too much Blue Peter. Half of these monsters can't even write their own cards, (clears throat) but will the voting reflect reality?

They probably couldn't be bothered with the effort of getting permission to use them. To clarify: The rights to the Daleks belong to the Terry Nation estate. Most classic Dalek stories (including the original) were written by Terry Nation. The few which weren't required his permission. The BBC can use them now due to an agreement reached sometime during pre-production of series 1.

This is one of my earliest memories! I remember thinking why there so many people called Doctor. Do you know what year this was?

I'd guess either 2003 (2 months after the revival was announced) or 2004. In 2005 they had a mini-episode starring David Tennant & Billie Piper (between series 1 & 2).

This was before the BBC was allowed to use the daleks again. Terry Nation's estate still owned them (and they still might), it wasn't until the revival in 2005 that they were allowed to use the daleks again
