In a way the 14th Doctor is the fulfillment of the 10ths last wish. He didn't have to go.

"The One Who Waits" is going to have to be something pretty special, if it's something even the Toymaker fears.

Fifteen using words like "Mavic Chen" and "Logopolis" is still crazy to me.

There’s so many good lines in this episode - “I’m Donna and you’re a goner”, also “WELL, THAT’S ALRIGHT THEN!” for example. I love the deep references with the puppets of previous Nu Who companions, also the scene with 15 listing off events and people. I did not expect to hear “Spice Up Your Life” 😂 it had me cackling and puzzled, in a good way. I’m excited for 15’s era, The Church on Ruby Road looks good with the preview clips and episode stills.

I honestly thought NPH was amazing in this, all the accents, all the physical stuff, the amazing face acting that meant we could see every thought he had, stunning.

A good way to describe the Toymaker would be an Eldritch god in the vein of Sheogorath from Elder Scrolls. Insane reality warping power, but he just wants to mess with people and play games. No care for our concepts of Good and Evil, just Game.

I saw a video the other day that turned me onto the idea of the Timeless Child. It's basically just a montage of things from as far back as the 3rd Doctor's run that really did foreshadow it. It was always there on some level. Not saying "this was always the plan", but it didn't come out of nowhere. The 3rd Doctor implied his actual age was somewhere in the several thousands of years, the 7th implied he was around at the time of Omega and helped create the Hand of Omega, the 4th MET Omega, who did bring up that the Time Lords weren't always capable of things like regeneration. It's wild, but it was always there. Some level of doubt about the origins we've been told. It's not bad writing, characters can just lie... Or be wrong, or not have the whole picture.

What I've noticed about Doctor Who as of late is that the people who love the show still love the show and the people who can't get over their political issues still can't get over their political issues.

Its been confirmed that the toymaker was the reason the bi-generation triggered. Both 14 & 15 are The Doctor, not two separate beings, and judging by what 15 said "I'm fine because you fixed yourself, we're timelords we are doing rehab out of order" it's easy to assume that 14 will take a break, live a normal life, regenerate into 15, and be sent back to the moment the bi-generation happened.

Here in the UK, now that the vast majority of classic Doctor Who has recently gone up on BBCiPlayer, it's very easy for new viewers to investigate any call backs or old companions if they wish to. It's up to them whether they want to go and watch Mel's episodes after seeing this episode but it's easier than it's ever been to do stuff like that without having to spend an extra penny. :)

Ncuti is 15, both him and 14 are legitimate incarnations

It was already said in the commentary of this episode, that they only "teased" The Master. You can say to keep the door open for the future, but they said that he will not come back in the upcoming seasons.

I enjoyed this. I'm very excited for Ncuti's era. Have to tell you, every time you used the phrase, "This is the hill I'm going to die on." I kept thinking of American Civil War officer, General Sedgwick, who said, "What are you running for? They couldn't hit an elephant at this distance!" Right before getting shot in the eye. 😂 Sorry you've got a cold. Hope you feel better soon!

I i would laugh if for the 65th, they brought back 10, The Metacrisis and 14 for a multi doctor special...
