hello doctor v i think u should examine my skin , it is very very exotic , like no one in this world has a skin like me , it gets irritated with anything I put , currently I am just washing my face with just water and leaving it alone , and its fine, and when I use skin care products it gets irritated , my skin is a solid subject that should be experimented by skin care experts like u .........

I could use a microdermabrasion-type product when I was younger. But I noticed that after 50, they caused micro-tears in my skin and an actual rash on my skin after using. I started to use a peeling -type gel and/ or glycolic acid once a week and these work much better. My skin is smooth, soft, and glowing instead of scratched and irritated.

I absolutely made the mistake with the shiny skin thinking oh it’s working. Fast forward a month and water burned my skin. I went LRP double repair and cicaplast at night and nothing else in nights or mornings. It’s mending now but the texture and closed comedones are still an issue that won’t go away.

For BHA the Paula's choice one is my HG, and for AHA I just stick to the ordinary 10% lactic acid. I tried mizon glycolic acid 8% which was fine and I surprisingly didn't react to it but switched to lactic acid after finishing it based on your advice. I can't wait to buy your exfoliant! I don't see any products with a mix of lactic and mandelic compared to glycolic and lactic.

Checked the ingredients and realised it's got polysorbate 20 in it which is a major FA trigger 😭 I hate that i can't use it.

Hello Dr.V just wondering what you think of Beauty of Joseon bubble toner exfoliator with 3% glycolic and a humectant? I have darker skin and I feel like it works great but I am not sure about my risk in the future. I used to use Paula's 2% but I always felt like my skin felt really irritated no matter what I did

Really appreciate your insight, definitely have changed up the game for me. However, what would be your best advice to restore the facial skin for a person of a mixed background that has irritated it, due to over exfoliation? Certain areas have been left looking patchy unfortunately, and am unsure on what is best. Would be a huge help. Thank you.

Dr, I recently started using the Ordinary‘a Glycolic acid toner. Everything bad that could happen, happened. Flakiness. Basal layer exposed. Dryness where I usually would be oily. And it’s taking a while to normalize. I really wanted to like it but it’s too much for me to use daily. I used it three times in a week and… well, I’m suffering. Now resorting to slugging and considering returning it in favor of lactic acid. I did wonder if adding water to my cloth and then the glycolic acid to raise the pH slightly? Or once a week?
